Thread 'Scratches on Plastic!'
Hi All, I've noticed some scratches on plastic pieces as the attached images show. I have tried to wipe it out without any effect. Does someone have the same issue?
Hi! Since I'm a city dweller, my ordered Grenadier will be exposed to more than a few regular parking garages with clearances in the 6'8" range. The vehicle's quoted height is a bit taller than that. (And, no, I don't trust clearance signs of any place I haven't parked in yet!) Anyways, it's a factor that would probably keep me in the stock tire size (or diameter at least) which is fine. But just wondering if anyone in a similar situation has cared to measure their roof height yet. The...
SIDE STEPS. Like many of us, my Station Wagon came without the side steps, these being promised for later. A month later as it turned out. So the I got the welcome call, “Come & collect”. Collect because I had already decided to fit them myself. Having looked at them on a Belstaff model in the showroom (carefully), they can’t be all that had to mount, surely. What I hadn’t reckoned on was the aftermath of my sepsis attack which has left me with carpal tunnel syndrome. - crap grip & no...
Thread 'Under bonnet - removing bulkhead/scuttle panel access covers'
These two: One plastic 10mm nut (mine stripped on offside) and two clips on the inside edge: And an extra (easter egg?) lambda on the offside with great access to the wiper motor: And access to the air intake/heater on the nearside:
Thread 'The V'
Getting a friend to make me some RED V's. Will demo real pictures once installed.
Thread 'Front and rear number plates fell off'
Yesterday morning I found my front number plate on the ground, as you can see from the photo it was only attached with poor quality double sided tape on a limited surface area. Also some of the tape was overlapped further reducing the contact area. After cleaning the existing tape from the plate, there was nothing on the bumper. I used the following tape to refit :- https://www.diy.com/departments/3m-scotch-fix-exterior-red-mounting-tape-l-5m-w-19mm/4054596685819_BQ.prd. When I was done I...
Trying to source touch up paint for Donnay Grey. Spoke to my dealer and they don’t have any touch up paint and Ineos have no plans at the moment sell either. My dealer has given me a touch up paint code of FPM and I have been to several paint shops and unfortunately they don’t have the paint formulation for this paint code. Anyone had any luck or advice? Got a small paint chip. Thank you.
Thread 'Utility belt staining'
From Facebook, someone took their Grenadier to a hand wash place and it has damaged the surface of their utility belt finish. Most on the thread suggest inappropriate use of TFR chemicals, but something to watch. https://www.facebook.com/groups/754330368649291/permalink/1454917941923860/?mibextid=S66gvF
Thread 'Airline Rails & Track'
For those of you with side and load rails fitted, the clips are available on Amazon. £12 for 6 and they’re identical to the ones on the Grenadier. The vehicle comes with four and I’m planning to fabricate a table and work surface to hang off them..
Hello Guys , I think by now its is almost certain that the Uk model will be getting a very different winch bumper to Australia . Not just the fact that it will be plastic vs metal in Australia ( not commenting on the bulbar .) The bit that really annoys me is the plastic cover that needs to be removed in accessing the rope instead of the very cool in my opinion flip up licence plate . My question is if the winch is in the same position in both variants are the bumpers interchangeable ? Or...
Does the main rear door have a wiper?
According to the brochure, the width of the Grenadier is 1930 mm without the mirrors and 2146 mm including the mirrors. My favorite car wash says it's 2 m wide. :-( Does anyone know whether the mirrors are easily foldable/collapsible?
Visited my local refuse and recycling centre yesterday. They have a height restriction bar of 2m! I guess this is to stop vans - I don't think the Grenadier will fit under it. Some local beauty spots have similar car park height restrictions too. Damn!
Is this a good thing to have?   I have it in my spec for now but am wondering what I will use it for? Does anyone have it as a "must have" or a "really nice to have" and do you plan to do with it? Cheers, Mike
I'm still a bit confused by the external utility belt. Can anyone demonstrate how it will be used?   To me it seems that any proposed use will either, damage the paint (imagine a shovel or axe mounted on the side body), and/or prevent the doors from being opened (imagine maxxtrax or fishing rods that are longer than the width of the door mounted on a door).  I'm also struggling to imagine more than two or three possible applications. Is anyone else a little confused too - or am I just being...
Thread 'Vertical Towing Interface - Rubber Universal Black Flexible Tow Receiver Tube Plug'
Just a little something to blank off the receiver as I'm actually using it and don't want muck/dust/debris building up in there. For the princely sum of £5.50: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134564054567?mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&siteid=0&customid=link&campid=5338980679&toolid=20001&mkevt=1 And I hope none of you are as rude as my wife, who when seeing it, commented "Oh great, you've bought a butt plug for your new mistress".
Attended the Brisbane drive day today at "Thunder Park"...Mt Tambourine. Excellent. I'm stoked in anticipation. My dear wife was most impressed at the comfort of the rear passenger seat and the visibility from the driver's seat...though "petite", she could easily see both front corners. The vehicle crawled over rough rutted narrow tracks with ease and apparent minimal effort.. it certainly instilled confidence! In a detailed discussion about the front tow plate I was advised that the said...
Does anyone know what the IDs of the transmission and aux coolant hoses are? My reason for asking is I would like to get some appropriate sized barbed hose joiners for my emergency field spares kit. Cheers Steve
Hi everyone, I am just wondering what the used market is like in Australia. I have searched carsales etc, but can't see many used examples for sale, so hard to gauge what the demand is like on the used market. Does anyone have any experience with selling a Grenadier privately that might be able to shed some light? I am in negotiations on a 2025 model at the moment, but don't want to be stuck with a car i can't sell down the track.
Thread '2026 Aftermarket winch power'
I have been searching. No real info except, it is behind the right side headlamp. We'll hopefully this can make it clear.
