Question: Do your washer fluid sprayers cover the entire windshield or just the lower half? Even when stopped with no wind mine don’t reach the top portion of the windshield. Is there any adjustment to the sprayers?
After reading some of the threads and doing some research, the window chipping and cracking issue is real. If you live in the south Florida area, I took my Grenny and had a window protection. Film applied to the front. The guys did an amazing job in an incredible timeframe. If you find yourself needing a solution for window protection, shoot me a DM and I’ll put you in touch with Rivas Pro Detail out of Miami View...
Hi, has anyone else had issues with the windscreen washer? A couple of weeks ago my washers (front and rear) stopped working, when pushing or pulling on the stalk the wipers would move, but no fluid would get sprayed. The fuse in the engine bay is fine, all the hoses seem to be connected (came across another thread where that was the issue) and the washer bottle is topped up. When my wife tried to wash the screen while my head is under the bonnet there is no pump-like noise like I would...
I have seen people wrap the painted surfaces of the front clip, in black. Can someone share photos?
Thread 'Exterior trim issues'
Has anyone seen this? It is relatively consistent all over the truck, kind of like a protective coating is wearing off. The truck is garage kept and hasn't been off road or scraped on anything (even though some of these look like scrapes). Wondering if I need to get the dealer to replace them or use some king of tai shine, although the bonnet checker plates have the same issue and they are a different material (obviously).
Thread 'Windshield protective guard against stones'
Does anyone know a manufacturer of stone guard for the windshield and side windows of the type below?
What is the factory privacy tint % in rear area?
Thread 'Checker Plate Install Help'
There is supposed to be double sided tape on the back for install however it just looks like black foam tape fitted, is this in replacement of double sided tape or am I missing something here? Any help appreciated!
Anyone modified their washer system to give decent pressure? I’ve tried most things including back flushing the system , air line blowing, etc but nothing gets my fluid above half screen.. I’ve changed the jets. Only clue might be mine was sitting in EDINBRGH FOR 4 months and could be blocked from storage? Thinking of a secondary motor in the line but it’s got me stumped
On my way to Salt Lake City this evening, the washer stopped working. I thought the fluid ran out, but filling it up didn’t help and the tank was likely about half full when I filled it. It was already dark, but I noticed there is washer fluid all over the driver side of the engine bay. I suspect a hose came off or split and it sprayed everywhere. I searched and found mention of a hose issue, but couldn’t find any details. Does anyone know where the pump is and where the hose is routed...
My seals around the Safari windows have softened a bit, so at certain angles I get a water leak. Noticeably I can flip the catches with my little finger, so it feels quite loose Does anyone know if the catches or latches are adjustable? They just need to lock down a fraction more.
I picked up a set of factory side steps for my Trailmaster and have a bit of a problem. It seems the threaded holes have some sort of undercoating in them. My problem is I don’t know the size of the bolts for the front holes. I take it that they are either M10 or M12’s, I have the taps where I can chase the threads but I need to use the right size to start with. Thanks
I’m looking for feedback on PPF installers in the western Washington region. I’ve been to a handful of shops for quotes in the last couple months and most had not done a Grenadier yet. It’s a unique vehicle to wrap with all the various trim, exposed door hinges, etc. If you have relevant personal experience having PPF installed on your Grenadier in Western Washington, please reply with the following: 1) Name of the business you used? 2) What services you were performed? 3) What name brand...
I always get my vehicles ceramic coated and paint corrected. Has anyone noticed imperfections in the factory paint finish? Here are some images and video of my field master that my Detailer sent me yesterday - Donny metallic Grey over gray black interior.
Thread 'Paint "hole" on hood'
Hello there, Had an odd problem with my Grenadier hood paint (24 Eldoret Blue). Have a small hole in the paint that is right down to the primer, and starting to lift at the edges. Not a chip or a ding, as there is no indentation. Just a very odd pattern, and looks like it will continue to flake off. Dime for scale... I did let my dealer know, and they asked me to bring it in for a closer look... Perhaps something was not completely clean or some contaminant on the hood pre-paint ?
Thread 'Rear door handle and noob mistake'
Hi all, This afternoon, I was installing a replacement rear door handle and I've done a completely stupid mistake, I've applied too much strengh while reinstalling the screw. At some point, I've damage the internal mechanism (heard a "clac"), probably by breaking a stopper or something like that, but now, this is the initial position of the handle : Luckily, the opening mechanism is still functional, just the stopper seems broken, so on it's own, it is not dramatic, but any idea if/how I...
I found this document from Ineos. They call it a body builder guide.
Thread 'Windshield prism for traffic lights'
For anyone that is having trouble seeing suspended traffic lights, the LightSight windshield prism works well. I’m going to move it to the right/center to see if more convenient. I certainly beats keeping my head dipped in the city. It sick’s on with water.
Hi Folks, For those of you who have sprung for this coating, how is it holding up? Was it a tidy job and does it mark easily from grit under the wiper blades? Looking online it has some fairly mixed reviews, with complaints that it only lasts 1-2 years before the visibility through it is bad and it needs replacing. A few people are saying they'd fitted it once but wouldn't bother again. It seems to be a favourite of Porsche drivers though, especially the ones who take part in regular track...
