It's Sela Green in color and has been chipped off by about 5mm in length and width. I'm thinking of buying some touch up paint.
Hello Forum I believe I read there is a recall on the door handle or locks having issues ??? Anyone know ? Thanks
Thread 'Door hinges pain chipping'
Hey everyone, Has anyone had paint chipping on their rear door hinges?
Thread 'L track/belt covers'
Hello, new guy here/ former 84 landcruiser owner (She got hit and totaled so here we are :)). Just got my new mushroom trialmaster. Was seeing a bunch of crap in the L track so I found some covers on Amazon. They really fit in there well so I thought I'd share!
Thread 'Rear door, small pane window replacement'
Be careful with your rock slinger...uh...lawn mower. Visiting the shop to get it replaced for a smooth $1,000. Part takes 3-5 business days to arrive once ordered.
Thread 'RAI light disassemble'
do you know how to disassemble the RAI light? Thanks
We let my niece and her husband borrow the Grenadier for an evening to go to dinner at Devils Thumb Ranch in Colorado. The snow was coming down in sheets. Being southerners, they thought the windshield wipers would clear the heavy snow from the windshield after dinner. They stripped one of my wiper arms. The manufacturer of the wiper arm is DOGA. They’re based in Barcelona. The dealer doesn’t have any stock. I’m thinking this may take a while. It appears to be a standard 5/8...
I found a list of accessory install instructions but did not see the ladder install. Can anyone provide me with the instructions on installing the factory ladder for the rear door hatch? Vehicle was purchased without the rear ladder and the dealer provided it to me as a part kit placing it inside the vehicle when they shipped the vehicle out to me. (Out of state purchase)
Does anyone know how much access exists to the underside of the front fenders if you remove the fender liners? Contemplating installing some thicker aluminum fender plates using countersunk/flush mounted threaded hardware to match the stock fender plate hole locations rather than rivets and was curious if others have tried mounting fender plates in this manner? I would like the fender plates to be removable without having to drill out rivets down the road if needed.
Thread 'Storm damage and replacement wing'
Hi All, A steel roof panel got blown off our barn and smashed into the wing of my Grenadier in the storms last week. It must have been traveling at 60 mph and it’s crumpled the wing, tearing a 6 inch slice and cracking the light surrounds. Amazingly it didn’t damage the bonnet or anything else. Does anyone happen to know if you can order a new wing already painted or does it just come primed ? It looks like a fairly straight forward job (famous last words!) . Any tips welcome
Thread 'Adding L Track above rear side windows'
Has anyone added an additional section of L Track above the rear side windows? I have seen images of items mounted on a section of L Track right below the rain gutter but only seeing reference to the new section being “glued” on. Not sure if that is a common way of attaching exterior load bearing equipment rails. The company is Offroad-tec.de and they have a side mounted folding table that looks promising. Looks to be a good height for a cooking platform and if you mount it on the rear...
Thread 'Adding L-track rails for exterior doors?'
Has anyone found a supplier for L-track rails for the doors? I have found a lot of options, but unsure what would look most stock? I have the bumpers currently. Or does anyone know what dimensions would fit? I found these that look promising... Thanks!
Thread 'Boot lip or well or cavity....'
My wet dogs drip into the bodywork cavity - see photos. Is there a drain in this part of the bodywork that anyone has found? There appears to be a plastic fixing (where finger pointing) but seems unlikely to be a drain plug?? Concerned that the permanent (winter) standing water is not a good thing.
I hope Ineos might read this..... The US market has a HUGE DESIRE for grill guards. The original Ineos design looks awesome. Rather than US buyers paying stupid shipping and tariffs, is it not possible to license “Ineos” designs to US based producers so we can get a factory look and have Win-Wins for everyone? Just asking....
I've seen this discussed vaguely, but I'd like to know the specifics as to how others have done this. Does the grill need to be removed? What tools will do the job? Any pics? I hate chrome... Thanks, Duane
I am seriously interested in doing the Eibach Spring grade with 1 3/4 inches on the front and 1 1/4 inch on the rear. I’m trying to figure out what the total final height would be in this configuration. It doesn’t seem like the represented regular height is correct. I have a Field Master with the factory KO2 tires. it is marked on the overhead console at 80.1 inches, but trying to pull a tape and eyeball. It looks like it’s actually less than that. Thoughts and/or experiences? The...
Has anyone found a replacement rear step ladder or modified their original steps to make them useable and safer than the original?
Thread 'Rust on exterior trim bolts'
I've got about 400 miles on my new Grenadier and noticed that the trim bolts are all starting to rust. Anyone else had this problem? I am fine with buying some new bolts rather than heading back to the dealer. Anybody know of any aftermarket suppliers offering a more rust resistant option? ps. As I write this, the Grenadier is getting the Audison "plug and play" upgraded sound system installed. I'll report back when it is done. thanks! tony c
Thread 'Is this curve/bend normal?'
Just noticed this while staring at the front end. Behind the front skid plate’s mesh opening, there is a solid piece that is affixed to the bottom edge of the radiator. The edge of the solid piece is not straight. The edge takes on a curve. I googled a few other IG pictures some appear to have a straight edge, some may show a curve. Overall inconclusive. I am not sure if the curved edge is normal The picture doesn’t show the curve as well as in real life. The curve is fairly pronounced...
Thread 'What is this clip?'
Crawled underneath my car to see if I can diagnose the metallic rattle on the driver side. Found a plastic clip loose and freely sliding along this shinny plastic line above the front drive shaft. The clip itself can touch the drive shaft, depending on where it’s positioned.
