why the hell is there no BullBar for Swiss Ineos owners? to all manufacturers, please develop a BullBar for the Swiss market including valid papers! We can't even order the original Bullbar... wtf..
I got my grenadier back in Feb. I normally hand wash my car and use certain products. However one day I didn’t have time to hand wash my car and took it through a touch less car wash. I got just the basic service with no ceramic coating and now my track tie downs are oxidizing and turning a blue tint. There’s nothing in the manual that mentions avoiding a car wash or types of soaps to use. I took my car into the dealership and Ineos said that will not replace. Has anyone else had this...
Thread 'Rear bumper'
I run a "grenadier bumper" search once in a while, hoping for a North American option. Mostly seeking a front bumper but this came up today. It ain't cheap. https://longrangeamerica.com/product/ineos-grenadier-rear-bumper EDIT: I see @angstorms found this already, via their fuel tank option. THANKS!
Has anyone seen a guide or utube about removing the front bumper (USA model)? Doesn't look that hard but advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Thread 'Finally got my Fender Plates'
Got my Fender plates installed from Bison Gear. I thought I will never have them since I didn’t get them with the car. It comes with 3M VHB tape for installation. So you don’t have to worry about that. It's a bit hard to do the alignment because once you stick the 3M it will be hard to remove. So do your alignments before removing the 3M tape. Next I will try the rivets option to make it stronger. Attached photos of the fender plates from different angles.
Thread 'Steps for factory rock sliders'
I think if you lifted the vehicle, you likely already found you might want a step. Even if you don't, perhaps you are married to someone 5'3" who is not entirely pleased with the climb. The factory rock sliders do not work as a step. I would say the best choice is aftermarket rock sliders, and there are many choices. But if you have the factory sliders, then it seems like a waste. At least it did to me. What I really wanted was something the N-Fab bolt on steps. They fit with their sliders...
Thread 'Tell tale reflection on windshield'
On Bright sunny days I’m getting a reflection of the sun on the windshield from the borders of the tell tale (they are painted black shinning) It is pretty bright just infront the eye line of sight.. Just wondering if anyone else notice this. I probably just paint it with a matte finish black
Anyone take off the rear bumper and have pictures and order of how to take it off? I’. Particularly interested in taking the corners off.
Thread 'Safari window temporary sun shades'
As it starts to heat up in Texas, I was looking for some temporary safari window sun shades before I go get them tinted or buy some proper fitted versions. Found these on Amazon. Not a perfect fit, but close enough to be effective… for $9 a pair. Hope that helps. Ian https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BS5KR96Y/?tag=globalgrena0b-20
Does anyone know the distance from the back of the safari window to the rear end of the roof??? I don’t want a roof storage box to cover the safari windows
I am looking to match some powdercoated items. I tried with a color wheel and it was an epic failure. My sliders are now neon blue, which is NOT cool. So anyone that might have Sir Jim's cell phone number, please pass it on.....Honestly, I really would like this if anyone has any thoughts on where I might track down the actual color code for the paint. Thanks, RUPERT John
Quick tip for anyone struggling to lock their vehicle after opening the hood/bonnet: make sure it's fully shut. A partially closed hood/bonnet can prevent your vehicle from locking. Just give it another slam.
Hi Anyone had the problem of "running water" in the rear of the car? I'll explain better, every time I make a thigh corner or a roundabout, i can ear water slushing around from the rear of the car, like having a bath tub in the rear boot. I've seen all around the car an underneath without finding any clue. Before I get mad, it rust itself out, or have to take it to the dealership and let them take it apart, anyone have any ideas? Will be following updates
I have been in touch with Eddy from Suma Performance (thanks to @Norb-TX for bringing them up in the other thread). They make aftermarket convex side mirror replacements to reduce blind spots. This would replace the mirror only, you keep the factory housing. They also offer a version with blue tint that reduces glare. Eddy stated if there is enough interest, they would make them for the Grenadier. He has not yet defined "enough interest". Judging by the cost of the Jeep JL, it appears...
Does anyone know if Ineos will be selling this as an accessory or up-fit for the people that ordered a vehicle with the bump stop? Any rumors, etc.?
Thread 'Touch up paint (Sela Green)'
Anyone in the UK managed to get hold of some touch up paint to match the stock colours. I fish tailed in to some stock fencing and the barbed wire got the rear quarter nicely. Would like to match the paint ideally. Or will just treat it and pick a close green.
Anyone know how the hawse fairlead is bolted onto the Grenadier? Is it a straight up bolt that tightens into a threaded section by the winch or is it a nut and bolt combination? Asking prior to removing the bolts in order to attach a fairlead lightbar bracket. Thank you.
For those with a deep and abiding need to know the capacity of the windscreen washer tank, my investigations suggest that it is 6.6L ... an impressive figure, given that the tanks in some other vehicles are around the 3L mark.
Are the L-track rails on the exterior and in the interior cargo area magnetic? I assume that they are aluminium extrusions, or maybe non-magnetic stainless steel?
Thread 'Removing lower front grill'
Hi folks, did anyone of you successfully remove the lower piece of the front grill? I tried it yesterday, but with no success.
