Hmmm...AMG not exactly a Grenadier alternative (except Grenadier if you are a relatively poor person in Toorak or Double Bay)

True, except I think it’s the only G you can currently buy new in Australia

I've seen quite a few new ones getting around Perth suddenly, recently... like a cork just got let out.

No interest in them, but that 60k price rise would be about.... 20%? 👀

When the new Toyo pricing is known it may help put recent Ineos' rises in context...

Are you suggesting that I am currently an incomplete dick?
Well the “cars as compensation” theory might suggest that G63 drivers are somewhat lacking in that respect.

Of course that theory categorically relates to engine size, not kerb weight so would NOT apply to Grenadier drivers.😚

damn, what a depressing place to have to spend time in 2023

Toyota 2031 facelift dash? :

If you're coming from this POS interior it looks like a massive upgrade! Working airconditioning. Basic ergonomics sound!

Two airbags.. at lest a nod to modern safety.

If the pricing is right then I won't have to constantly be afraid of dinging the darn thing. I'm interested.

It's typical Toyota safe bland. No lad ever stepped inside and said "Wow! Coool!"

That steering wheel is PADDED - better than an airbag in every way. I have never doubted your safety. 🤣

Only thing was.. I kept hitting my leg on the steering wheel changing gears. So I removed the factory one and put a smaller wheel on which gave me noticeably more room. But also removed the "crash protection."

I laugh when the biggest ergonomic issue grenadier owners have is the footrest. Oh to have only one ergonomic faux pas instead of dozens!

I think G63 drivers are guilty on the basis of ratio of additional dollars to reduced functionality - ie paying way above intrinsic value, for less ability due to frilly bits added.
Or, more succinctly, the tosser effect.
obviously not a grenadier problem, and we must work hard to keep it ever thus…
