I know a lot of folks eschew technology. But I have to drive in the cut and thrust of San Francisco Bay Area traffic every so often where it's a perpetual traffic jam and people drive like animals. With mirrors only (especially at night) on jammed freeways, it's really difficult at times to see if there's a car in the blind spot. And yes I do have my mirrors adjusted correctly. I just find that at those times having the BSM is reassuring and often a safety factor. So has anyone considered...
Hello team , I am not sure if i am just being pedantic at this point but here it goes . It really annoys me the fact that the window switch will automatically lower the window all the way down but will not bring it all the way up and i have to sit there holding it . I looked high and low for a solution but was unable to find a replacement switch that would work. Anyone else finds this to be a problem? Anyone looked for a solution ?? -as i am writting this i can imagine you guys...
anyone else find that their wipers are completely lifting off the glass as it changes directions. Mine and more specifically my passenger side wiper lifts clear off the glass at the end of the stroke about 3/8" or so. It completely misses a section because of it. Very bizarre.
I am new to this forum. I just purchased my Grenadier today. Question for all, the side mirrors are not working. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there some sort of fix?
I have Roo Bar / Safari Guard, and OEM winch on the front. My front parking sensor randomly goes off. It appears the two center sensors were causing the problem. Dealer replaced the sensors not solving the issue. Anyone encountered similar problem? How do you have this resolved? Shutting down the sensor by the button is NOT a fix. Just a work around...
Thread 'Are headlights supposed to be heated?'
I had to drive through heavy snow at highway speeds during the night yesterday. The problem I had was that the headlights would get fully caked in snow. The light output would be close to 0% after about 10 mins of driving. Even high beams did nothing. Are the headlights supposed to be heated? I just want to confirm in case the heating element isn't working. I've noticed this issue multiple times during the day time and thought nothing of it.
I am curious to Understand the front indicator lighting system. I am presuming the rear are center of the tail/brake lighting and wondering if this might be the case upfront. Could it be a similar system to the Mini with an led ring in the middle of the headlight?
Thread 'Raised air intake installation'
Hi, I am swapping my standard air intake with a friend who has a raised air intake. I am having trouble removing the orange light from the standard side plate. Any advice?
I, like several others here on the forum (@DaBull), am wanting to remove the RAI on my Trialmaster when I take ownership of it and replace it with the factory blanking plates on the A-Pillar and Fender. I have searched extensively but have failed to find the associated parts numbers for these items on the forum (though I do recall many months ago someone posting these?) So far this topic seems to have been most discussed Here (Where @Paco Garcia posted the knock off fender cover from...
Thread 'Filtre cyclonique'
Hi does anyone knows if there will be an extra fuel tank for grenadier? 90 l seems to be very small for long distance trail thks
Quick q - what is the advantage/disadvantage to 17" versus 18" alloys? My TrialMaster would probably see more road use than off road for day to day use.
Finally, my doubts were true; the intake is suffering from air getting inside because of the orientation of the snorkel air inlet. I get it that is because driving in dirt is mostly the desired orientation. Although, it would be nice to being able to change to “street driving mode” if you would call it that. I was fascinated by the bronco snorkel as there is a removable plate that can be used to redirect the inlet from either front or back. It’s a really small modification but I think...
What type of plastic is the raised air intake made of? Mine was damaged going through a car wash. The tube cracked at the seam and I'm looking for an adhesive that can fuse the plastic together. Any ideas? Thank you.
Did you realize, our raised air intake sucks in a lot of dust where it enters the fender. I could drastically reduce dust in the filter with taping the outer seam. The sealing there begs for improvement. Has someone done it already? Thinking of applying sikaflex but i am afraid the right fender has to be taken off to do it properly. How can i take off the fender?
Thread 'Raised Air Intake Grille - Lost'
It appears my raised air intake grille is somewhere between Perth and Margaret River...I see someone else lost theirs on first off road trip, but mine hasn't been off the tarmac yet! I will try to get a replacement under warranty. If this is a no, any ideas for replacement?
Thread 'Anyone pulled apart the raised air intake?'
Hi all. I have recently purchased a new to me Grenadier trialmaster. I picked it up from Shepparton in Victoria, and drove it home to Townsville. I haven't had an issue yet, apart from noticing this. I assume the snorkel was removed to fit the blinker but not reassembled correctly. Has anyone done it yet? Thanks Pedro
HI All I know there are only a couple of Devil red grenadiers in Aus - but has anyone managed to source some touch up paint for this colour - local old school paint shop has the code and its in thier system - but the formula isnt there yet so they have to wait until the supplier is finished. Thanks Steve
Had to remove the inner fender liners to install the shocks and some wiring. Does anyone have any info on the button pins that hold the fender flare on. I can probably get them from the dealer but hoping to get the correct size so I can get them from Napa etc.
I am looking at removing the stupid anti siphon flap on my fuel line, and widening the hole. I would like to remove the filler pipe to do the work, so nothing enters the fuel tank. Anyone with diagrams or experience, on how to remove the black plastic surround for the fuel filler interested in contacting me, or posting a diagram would be appreciated. Will document the process for others if interested.
