Quick question that search didn't answer. The bottom two holes on the flange of the hitch are threaded and in some markets that is where the ball is attached. I'm planning to use those two bottom holes as the attachment point for a step. Can anyone confirm the bolt size and thread pitch? I suspect it is M16 2.0 but I may be wrong. Thank you for your assistance.
Ok so I’ve finally got the tape measure out to check something that has bothered me in the back of my mind for a while. The drivers side (RHD) of my grenadier is approx 10mm lower than the left. This is the case from the front through to the back. I’ve measured both sides from everything from recovery points, bottom of wheel arch, top of the side mirrors and top top edge of the rear external L track. All 9-10mm lower on the right. Tyres are the same pressure and same height. Nothing in...
I'm just wondering if I'm the only one who finds this universal hitch to be a problem. I understand it is one piece of hardware used differently around the world, but that isn't really ideal. The first problem I have is this huge flange. It is difficult to get a hitch pin in there, and a locking pin is nearly impossible. I think I will try the Rhino one because they key goes on the end. I spend entirely too long battling this every time I try to hook up something different. Even more...
Can someone provide the mounting bolt pattern on the frame where the tow receiver would normally mount? Also could use the bolt size. I'm assuming there are captive nuts. We haven't ordered the Tow Hitch and are thinking up other uses for the mounting points if we choose not to add it at some later point. TIA.
I am sure this has been posted before. I didn't order a tow bar during the ordering process, therefore yesterday I asked my agent to order one (a mistake). Unfortunately, I was told that at the moment they cannot be fitted after market (so if you want one - ensure you order it when you place your vehicle order). Does anyone know what is in place for a vehicle without a tow bar fitted? I will have a look later what is behind the cover.
Well I have kicked up my order I did not realise the towbar did not come with the Trailmaster in the UK and only realised after the cutoff for changes. I emailed Ineos and was told “A tow bar is factory fit only, as the electronics need to be wired from the factory.” This is very annoying but also surprising I asked the dealer if i can order a wiring kit and parts and I will fit it and I was also told no. I think this is crazy and hope it can be done later. If I do amend the order i will...
Has anyone else here purchased anything from D&G 4x4 Tuning (dgtuning.com)? If so, How were your dealings with them? On August 25, 2025, I emailed D&G, asking if they had a version of their Grenadier snorkel that accepts a Sy-Klone pre-cleaner. On August 28, 2025, I received a reply from Jurgen. He said that he would ask his workshop if a custom snorkel could be made to accommodate the Sy-Klone. Fast forward to September 15. Jurgen acknowledged via email that he had received the...
Thread 'My front for the Grenadier'
Here is my version of the front side of the Grenadier , i'm a Defender lover it's sure !
Dear members, Yesterday I saw an Ineos that adjusted the rear ladder so that there was room for a fuel tank behind it, does anyone know this conversion and where can you get it?
Thread 'Grenadier Crash'
Taken from a German article on a Facebook page. Pretty serious crash between a Grenadier and a light truck. The article says the driver of the truck had to be cut out and taken to hospital but doesn’t mention the Grenadier occupants at all so the assumption is they were ok, clearly the airbags went off. It appears that while the front of the Grenadier is totaled there does not appear to be much if any cabin deformation...
