Finally, my doubts were true; the intake is suffering from air getting inside because of the orientation of the snorkel air inlet. I get it that is because driving in dirt is mostly the desired orientation. Although, it would be nice to being able to change to “street driving mode” if you would call it that.
I was fascinated by the bronco snorkel as there is a removable plate that can be used to redirect the inlet from either front or back.
It’s a really small modification but I think worth the effort. And if anyone is making the water sealed one should also consider modifying it as well.
