What's you're real world MPG (USA)

No doubt!!! Buc-ee's here I come!

For what it's worth, my Gren does a touch better per tank than my G500. The Gwagon gets about 11-12mpg at best. My bigger diesel trucks do far better than both.
you sure do keep track, for having not kept track. :)

I just go by the vehicle calculation as i know the speedo is about 2.5-3mph off of GPS speed. Same as my Tundray, my older 100 Series, my FJC, etc. My Tundra was 12mpg around town, 16 mpg on highway long trips. The Grenadier showing 16.9 city and 10.8 hwy if I dont accelerate like I like :) and keep rpm's reasonable....65mph or less... light throttle have had vehicle calculated of 21.4mpg....so guessing my ACTUAL is more like 14 city and 18 hwy. If they gave us the BMW diesel engine I would have it...but otherwise, not going to complain as is better than my Tundra TRD 4x4 I sold to buy my Pluffmud Grenny. ;)

I get about 11.5 to 12.5
It depends on how I drive it....when we drove from Colorado to Maine we got a whopping 9.6 mpg at times. This had a ton to do with my SPEED (85 to 90 MPH) for long stretches of time with a headwind. When I drove more conservatively around 75 to 80 mph I got about 12 mpg. Aside from the speed (speed kills...MPG...LOL), I get mostly 13 to 14 MPG on good days. Avg 12 to 13 mpg when doing the typical I-25 80 mph to 85 mph w/o being fully loaded to the gills.

In every vehicle I keep my fuel receipts and diligently keep accurate records. In ours, I find that 18.6 mpg shown on the computer works out to 15 mpg or thereabouts.

I do have a 3/4 Leitner rack with Maxtrax at the front of the rack as well as the rear side molle panels. I also have some beefy White Knuckle Off Road sliders that adds a bunch of weight.

Next potential mod for me will be skid plates that will add some additional weight.

I just completed a round trip of roughly 1,900 miles between Philadelphia and west Tennessee, and manually calculated an average of around 15.8 mpg. For the most part it was highway, i drove at 9 mph over the posted speed limit, e.g., 79 in 70 mph zone. The trip south was mountainous on I64, through West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky stopping at Mammoth Cave: my worst tank was 14.8 mpg, on that leg. The way north was I40 to I81 via Knoxville: my best tank was on this leg, at 17 mpg. Also, very comfortable for long drives.

Same thing for me. Computer is constantly optimist by about 2 mpg. Don’t know why this is the case. I would really love to get the software engineers alone in a dark ally late at night.
You may have already discovered this information, but the difference is caused by the IG computer using Imperial Gallons for the calculation instead of US Gallons. Since the Imperial Gallon is larger, the denominator in the calculation is smaller and the MPG higher, than if you use US Gallons for the denominator.

I didn’t now that but it makes sense.

Well that makes sense and goes with the increase/decrease in speed not being in US miles.

Actually, if you are referring to the cruise control; I believe it changes in kph increments.

16 clicks gets you an increase or decrease of 10 mph.
16.1 km =10.00408 statute miles

Yes, referring to the cruise control - so they basically incorporated a bit of everything.

Uk measurements, I did video it but no matter what I try it says the file is too large
Fieldmaster with lockers and KO2's
Average speed 44mph ( mostly motorway at 55-60mph)
73.5 miles
31.6mpg
All these were readings off the screen
Didn't fully check/record the next bit;
I then upped to 70mph and after another 30?miles or so it dropped to 29.?mpg

You have to upload video to YouTube and then link it. I tried yesterday and even compressed the video, still didn't work. So I up loaded it to my YouTube account. Then made made it private so it was only watchable if you received the link. Then I posted the link on this site.

I don't have a YouTube account.
Thought it would have been good to show actual readings.
Oh well! I'll stay in the dark ages

I have finally gotten my Trialmaster back from the Baja repairs on on the drive back from San Diego to Chicago right on through Colorado (primarily secondary roads, mountains, a bit of freeway miles) I averaged 21.8 on the vehicle computer. Once I hit the freeways through the flatlands we dropped to about 19.8 average. Speed was at the speed limit. This is a far cry from the trip out a year ago when we were bucking headwinds where the lowest I saw was 11.6.

Look forward to your YouTube report. Saw the preview and sounds like you had amazing trip basically around the world.

I don't have numbers to report, all my gauges have been converted to subjective assessment. The "Avg MPG" just reports "Meh..*". The "Speed-O" just displays "Whoa!",

Due to a busted rubber (CV boot), I've been driving a plain IG loaner for 10 days. I'd forgotten what it was like to drive on stock tires with no bolt on parts. I even parked in an indoor parking garage. But, it has been lying to me all week, reporting 17+ MPG.

*"Meh" is a colloquial interjection used as an expression of indifference or boredom. It is often regarded as a verbal equivalent of a shrug of the shoulders.

Come on dude, US mpg is specifically asked for. Also, being USA, it is assumed you are driving a petrol/gasoline vehicle.
I know you are not getting 29 USmpg at 70 mph in a petrol Grenny.

Fair enough, I didn't read the title properly. UK diesel mpg

That just isn't possible unless you were going downhill with a tailwind.

At 18,241 miles I've used 1,704.487 gallons of gas at a cost of $7,533.10, equating to an average of 10.70 MPG with an average price per gallon of $4.49. 36% of those miles were pulling a trailer.

Interestingly my offroad miles per gallon is not significantly different than my on road.

I have a roof top tent and 315/70/17 tires, neither of which helps things. I also tend to drive about 80mph on the freeway (limit is 75mph here).

My best tank was 15.77mpg (going downhill from Flagstaff to Phoenix) and my worst was 6.09mpg (going uphill with a headwind on the highway pulling a trailer).

So between services and fuel, I've spent $10,195.13 so far, or an average of $0.56 per mile. I think running a plane would be cheaper. I plan to start doing my own services and to start running a higher tire pressure on the freeway (40psi instead of 33). I may also start slowing down a bit.

This is why getting the longranger tank was such an important item for me.
