5 Year Trip in a Grenadier Across the World towing a Patriot X3 Which We Live In.

My wife and I watched this episode after dinner on Friday evening. Prime time viewing @Matt P(y)
Another great episode, with another cliffhanger ending

Me: Slightly embarrassed by my ignorance of the Mongolian landscape.
Her: "Gee Charlotte's grown. She's almost as tall as Jack now."

We're definitely invested in your journey!

Little request if I may. Would you please consider adding a list of the places visited into the description of each episode. I don't expect you guys to do a map for every stage but it would be great to be able to look up some of places you've been to and follow your path afterwards.
I feel honoured that we took the prime time slot! 🎥 🍿 As for the cliffhanger, unfortunately so.. we’d honestly rather it didn’t pan out like it did, but such is life, especially on trips like this. You just never know what’s coming next.. 😅

I think most people have no idea about the Mongolian landscape, it’s pretty special as you’ll soon see… we’d been a couple of times before but still some of the places we went, jaws on the floor stuff. 🤯

There’s a map in the latest episode which shows where we went. Just pause that and you’ll have a good idea. From the bottom of the lake we went half way up the East and half way up the West. It would’ve been great to make it to the top on the Eastern side but we can’t do it all. Very very few people go West beyond all the touristy stuff, you’ll see why in the next episode..

We’re keeping track of where we’ve been and aim to make a proper map of the whole trip once complete. Hope that helps.

If you have a specific question beyond this, feel free to drop me a line and I’ll get back to you. 👍😊

You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel…. (Sung to Kenny rogers for… anyone not an old American)

Did you lose a wheel? When I used an m416 as a camper 25 years ago, I was hub paranoid. Every stop I was checking for heat.

Very happy to announce the latest partnership for our journey with John and the team at Agile Offroad They’ve been amazing with not just us, but the Grenadier community as a whole! 🙏

As many of you may already know, they’re experts in tuning, off-road upfitting, accessory installs and fabrication. They specialise in the Grenadier.

After travelling for over two years around the world, with 70-80% of it off-road, we decided we need to do a few tweaks before heading out into Mongolia. We had a good chat with John and the team about what we’ve both learned, and what makes sense for our trip, and this is what we’ve concluded so far:

👉 Full underbody protection including engine and centre skid plate, fuel tank, rear control arms skids, diff covers and diff skid plates
👉 Diff breathers
👉 Rocksliders
👉 Shifter Cable Support Bracket
👉 Reservoir cap seals

We’re in constant communication and will upgrade where required. The Grenadier is a very capable vehicle and so we don’t need to do much. We’re happy to answer any questions and provide links if required.

Whether you need ride quality improvements, off-road upgrades, or a fully built overland rig, Agile Offroad are the people to talk to.

***To say thank you to everyone following our journey, we have a discount code kindly provided by Agile Offroad: PWE10***

It will give you 10% off any individual part of the skid plates or underbody protection (including full sets) as well as the rock sliders for the Grenadier.

It’s valid until 30th April 2026. 😎👍

All will be revealed very soon… definitely not part of the plan.
