Thread 'Internal storage fixes'
We carry a fridge freezer when out and about but ended up with a space against the wheel box out that was a bit useless. So having the remains of a dog crate left from the cargo shelf build, thought i'd have a go at making a purpose built one. Crate was 3mm steel mesh and plate is 3mm aluminium sheet left from something, after a few attempts bending to the right orientation and sizing, a prototype is now installed. We'll see how it fairs later on in the year after a few trips. It feels...
Thread 'Firewall wire pass through - grommet options'
I have reviewed the various posts on this topic & still can’t find a suitable location to get a Midland MXT275 radio antenna cable through the firewall. The connector is about 3/8” (10mm) in diameter. I have a US 2025 model Trialmaster with safari windows, front winch, high load aux switching etc. so all the grommet locations in the footwells are used. See pics : Can I make slit in one of the existing grommets (the large wire loom soft grommets would be easiest I think) then seal with...
Does anyone know what the two red knobs in the cup holders that you see in the prototypes are?
Good morning, I would like to have a water tank made that would be positioned behind the front seats. It would be wedged in front of the rear seats and would have the height approximately that of the base of the rear seats. Ideally I would like to have all the dimensions of this area of the car or at first detailed photos of this part of the car with some dimensions. This on a UTILITY thank you in advance for your help
So this popped into my feed. What does *Not available in North America mean? Edit embedded image removed, Recaros statement has been amended, the USA will now be receiving seats in their Grenadiers! SB
Merci d'avance
Firstly, I'd like to extend a well-deserved congratulations to the INEOS Grenadier team for such an amazing accomplishment. Launching a purpose-built and capable vehicle worldwide is no small task. There's a lot to like about this vehicle - too much to mention here. One thing, however that I find questionable is the omission of an analog-style instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. My understanding is this was moved to the center stack (digital) display to afford the driver maximum...
Thread 'Interior back right'
Each time I go to take a look at the car I try to discover something. I got my key (car is locked now), opened the car and as nobody was watching me I did this (pictures are better than words, but I forgot to measure): This is a quite nice small place that can be used, perhaps to hide stuff you almost never us.
Hello everyone, Just doing a bit of research into getting a more or less decent set of speaker/subwoofers in the Gren, to pass the time waiting for my car to arrive. Does anyone by any chance have measurements of then driver/passenger under seat storage area? TIA
Hello all, new to the forum and have a question that as far as I can tell hasn’t been asked/answered. As it appears the US will not be getting the two seat Utility Wagon, how difficult will it be to pull the rear seats out and end up with a flat floor? I saw the post about 16 screws, so extracting the seats seems straightforward, but what do you end up with? I also saw where the auxiliary battery, fuse box, and other electronics are in the same place (under the rear seats) on all...
Evening All Wondering what size drawer system will fit in the rear of the IG Anyone able to give the exact dimensions of the rear boot space on the TM? Width should be wide enough from most models - distance from back of sloped seats at 320mm height most important Appreciate if anyone able to assist. Thanks in advance
@Stu_Barnes brought back to me a thought that I have had for a while when he posted (here) a picture of the dash cover with storage pockets by Melvill & Moon. I have been thinking for a while that there is not really much room for storage in the front of the Grenadier. Does anyone have any ideas about using the wide dash board for storing the little stuff that just always gets in the way?
Hello everyone , While reading the forum now i just realised that i might have made a mistake while ordering. I am not a smoker. So when ticking though the option list , i ignored the smokers package . Now that i am thinking about it, does the smoker package include a cigarette lighter ( 12v ) at the bottom of the dash and some additional storage ? Anyone ordered one like that? Would be interesting to see. That might had solved the front access usb problem.
I figure I would start a thread of drawer systems DIY or purchased. I found this video and thought I would share. It gave me a couple things to think about. View: https://youtu.be/kv78X13N_SY
Thread 'Who is ordering the compass?'
I think an analog clock would go great there instead. Could an aftermarket vendor offer one in the future? In which case I'd just skip the compass. Like in the Defender.
Thread 'Solarscreens'
SLRV in Australia look like they've asked Solarscreens to do all windows for the IG, i have these on my current vehicle, the quality is superb
The prototype 2 seat utility wagon rear doors had window switches. The recent YouTube video by addehampan of a production 2 seat utility wagon shows the rear door window switches blanked (time stamp 2min 59s). Can the rear door windows for the 2 seat utility wagon still be controlled from the driver’s door or are they fixed? Opening rear door windows would be good for ventilation and for temporary routing of cables / auxiliary heating ducts from the roof.
