Thread 'Boot / trunk measures'
Moin all campers and customizers. Found these and did not find a thread that collects measurements taken. Timo
I dunno, I might the only one, but almost everytime I get out of my Grenadier I catch the bottom of my jeans on the exposed left seat rail of the drivers seat. Maybe I'm missing a trim piece? Or maybe I'm on the hunt for some piece of something that will cover it. I dunno, so far no ripped jeans, but you know the minute I wear something nice, riiiiiip. Sigh. Anyhow else have this oddball problem?
Will the stock center consule cup holder handle a standard Nalgene, Large Hydro, small thermos? One of my favorite things about my Tundra is the size of the cup holder.
Thread 'Rear Seat Quick Release'
I take my rear seats in and out a lot, with daily driving and kids then conversion to getting out for trips. While the Grenadier seat hooks are workable, I found the nutsert came loose, and it has become more of a PIA. Ladisalv Cocher created this design that works great. While I was at it I replaced the nutserts with a longer, stronger insert. Ladisalv has created a website to sell his designs. https://askitus.com/
I'd like to have the volume control panel on top as it's easily the most used control, and the a/c panel moved below it. It has the BMW auto climate and I usually just set it at 72 and hardly ever change it.
Thread 'Door Pocket Cup Holders'
I found a solution for a Cup Holder for the door pockets . I stopped by Harbor Freight today and purchased two metal magnetic cup holders ( Slate Gray ) . They are on sale right now for $9.95. I removed the two large Magnets and replaced it with Heavy Duty Velcro. They are secure and blend in nice .
Thread 'Rear Leg Room N1 Spec Production Model'
This is the rear leg room for the 5 seat station wagon N1.. I’m 6’4 and the drivers seat is fully back. My knees were ok and there is a slot in the seat back that does give a bit of extra room. Good for short journeys but I’d not want to spend hours in the back. The other photo is my son who is about 5’5. I will be moving the seat back swiftly after delivery.
Thread 'Cargo area side L Track'
Looking at storage options I have seen several after market L-Track kits to replace the internal cargo bay side anchors with ~2’ of L tracks. I got excited until I realized my cargo area is not relieved between the anchors for a section of L-tracks. Is that an additional mod or a different cargo configuration? Picture below for reference.
I have tried to find this out on my own but have not been able to figure it out. I see there are six airbags in total with two side curtain airbags, I know some side curtain airbags cover both the front and rear windows for each side. Does anyone know if there are side curtain airbags for the rear passengers? If not this is a deal breaker for me, I used to want a Jeep Gladiator but when I found out the rear passengers have no airbags at all I decided it was not a vehicle I would ever buy. If...
I want to install the wolfbox mirror/cameras but how do I remove the old one from the windscreen 2023 car 1st gen with no lane departure someone told b}me just turn it anti clockwise 45 degrees is that correct? Is there a grub screw I’m haven’t spotted, really don’t want to break the windscreen. Please advise. (Everything I can find is for the later version) Thanks
Maybe there is a thread on this, but I have not found it. How is the patina developing on the saddle leather package? Can owners post pics of their Steering Wheels, Brake levers, and Grab Handles to show how they are wearing? Before I add this package I want to see how well the leather is "wearing in". Plus add in how long you've had it and how many miles you have so we can try to determine wear in by time and mileage.
Hi folks, I have optioned the internal utility rails and was wondering if anybody has seen a solution for securing a bike (or bikes) with or without use of the rails? I've always had to secure my bikes external to the vehicle and now I have Barry coming (I've already named my Gren :)) I'm happy to not have to subject my bike to the elements, but it would be great to have a tidy system for storing it, rather than just chucking it in the back... Cheers!
does any body know how to remove the emblem in the dash ? I want to see if I can mount a tablet holder there .
Hello everyone , Was looking to see if the hive mind has any ideas . I usually keep in my trunk / boot ( depending who you are talking to ) a 24h car bag , compressor , valve stems , patch kit , ratchet straps etc …. . Up to now all my cars had some sort of cover so you would not be able to see what is being carried in the back . As far as i know the grenadier does not have a solution for this from the factory . Any ideas for alternatives ? I am aware of the station wagons ( bmw , skoda...
For owners who have the interior carpet option, can you comment if there is less NVH than without the carpet? I do realize that with carpet it won’t be easy to hose out the interior, it was wondering if it would be quieter inside.
Thread 'Seat Heating Connectors'
I "almost" have a Trialmaster without seat heating, but the wiring and connectors are available, see pictures:
I am having a difficult time finding the metal (lockable) door that covers the bottle jack location. I looked at countless sites and searched here, and I am going up empty. The 2 tabs on the plastic door have a tendency to break or bend.
