Thread 'Rear floor (boot) general photos'
Look away now if you don't like spot welds... Anyone know what these little thumb wheel type fasteners are? They hold in the threshold plastic trim piece.
Thread 'Boot mat'
I wanted a grippier rubber boot floor, got this from Halfords today, £20...
Thread '2seat Commercial Utility Wagon 2nd row area; battery cover trim plates'
For anyone with a 2seat Utility Wagon, with no 2nd row seat. How does IA make the rear floor area smooth/level if the battery(ies) are still in the 2nd level? Only picture I can find on the web so far; Would like to make a Station Wagon (5seater) has a similar panel in the 2nd row.
Thread 'Locking Cubby Box'
Well, we were warned by @Paul Cooper (post #15): https://www.theineosforum.com/threads/solid-side-panels-v-windows.12411250/#post-1333154845 but what were the chances that my key for a Southco lock in my old Defender fitted the Grenadier locking cubby box:
Thread 'Commercial (N1) load space mat'
I'd commented in a different thread how it was different to the standard floor covering in the rest of the vehicle, and indeed different (inferior) to that in the M1 versions. Five minutes in moderate sun today and the edges are starting to warp. If I ever see that Ineos cost engineer...
Thread 'repair of water draining cap / plug'
I took out a water draining cap in the floor and suddenly all the pieces fell apart. A small axle fell somewhere, probably in the grass. I tried to “fish” it with a strong magnet, with the help of 4 eyes, to no avail! Then I took out the other cap at the drivers’ side, to see how that axle looked, and saw a some hollow metallic axles, probably aluminium. Therefore I had to do my first repair: I replaced the axle by a nail! In the picture below you can see in the upper left corner a...
Thread 'Future seat development?'
I wonder what it was that Ineos had in mind here.
Now that we are starting to see customer cars, has anyone been able to fit a infant bucket, or typical convertible toddler car seat into the Grenadier? I have seen some photos and videos of the interior, that make it seem like the rear seats are quite cramped. As a tall driver, space in the rear seats on both sides is a concern to me with the little ones.
Thread 'Hand Grab for RHD vehicles'
Once, the vehicle lands home, we will explore fitting a grab handle on the RHD door pillar (to match the left). Why, because without it, you haul yourself in with the steering wheel. I am guessing that the captive buts are already in the A pillar, so you would need new A-pillar trim and the handle - well that's my thoughts. Pictured is the left pillar GRAB handle (not fitted to right side).
Hi, had quick search and read of the manual but is it possible to have 'one touch' UP on the driver's window? One touch down works but not up - I thought this was still allowed, I have it in other vehicles. Many thanks
Thread 'Armrest ideas'
hi! one of the first things i noticed sitting on the grenadier is that the cubbybox is too short and lacks arm support. I'm looking for some ideas to add an appendix above the two bottle holders to extend it but I haven't found anything satisfactory. do you have any idea? Thanks
Thread 'MOLLE panel'
hi! I ordered my grenadier with back panels and on the inside I would like to apply two MOLLE panels like the suzuki in the attached photo. Do you have any idea where you can find adequately sized aluminum panels? I would say at least 4mm thick. it would be better to recover the panels, then the supports to anchor them to the 3 screws I can build them myself. Thank you
Can someone with a Grenadier please let me know the dimensions of the space under the seat in mm please 🙏
Thread 'Carhartt Precision Seat Covers'
I just installed the Carhartt Precision Fit passenger seat cover on my daughter's 2000 Land Cruiser and am pretty darn impressed with the results. I hope they design some for the Grenadier to give Melvill and Moon some competition. Pic below. Also, I spent, I dont't know, 6 TO 7 HOURS INSTALLING A NEW LONCKY LEATHER STEERING WHEEL COVER: I had never done this before so the prep time, measurements, fiddling, adjusting some more, second guessing, cursing, and panicking, added some...
Thread 'The comrehensive LHD A-pillar handle thread'
As the LHD grab handle for the driver seems really important to some of you. I give some hints here: A-pillar left with driver airbag: A-pillar right with passenger airbag: The trim from the passenger side. (unsure if the metall comes included with the trim): The handle from the passenger side: The handle seems interchangeble LHD/RHD. So to install the handle for the LHD driver you will need: 1x handle 1x A-pillar trim from RHD car. Take your TX30 tool and keep going at your...
Thread 'Loadspace Drainage Plug'
So, following on from these two threads: https://www.theineosforum.com/threads/jean-mercier-sleeping-in-the-car.12412347/#post-1333185656 https://www.theineosforum.com/threads/repair-of-water-draining-cap-plug.12412196/#post-1333181801 The online Owner's manual (page 202) states "Remove the trim panel located just inside the rear loadspace entrance. This will give access to the rear drain plug inside the loading area." By this, I thought they were referring to either trim panels...
Thread 'BDM Leather Storage Bags for under the front seats & other areas'
Here are some ideas for storage accessories for your new IG
I note that in my SW, the space where the auxiliary battery would go, does not contain a waterproof box that I am sure has been fitted to some vehicles. Could this box be part of the auxiliary battery set-up?
Hello everyone;) Small question, has anyone already tried to dismantle the door panel or do you know what colours the cables from the speakers have? I would like to improve my sound system a little, I find the originals terrible... In the B column you would also have to get to the cables without dismantling the door panel? I just want to install a mini subwoofer under the driver's seat, the space should be enough;) If this question has already been asked, I apologise;)
