I have noticed a wind whistle which I initially thought was coming from outside. Then I turned the air con fan off to have a better listen and it stopped! Yes, from about position 2 on, there is remote, but annoying (wind) whistle. Anyone else had the same, and if so, any fixes?
Thread 'DASHCAM - cable run for the rear dashcam camera'
BACKGROUND Australian spec 2 seater Utility Wagon, but it will probably work on 5 seaters and left hand drive cars. The Dashcam installed was a Blackvue DR970X-2CH. The front camera was mounted under the rear-view mirror and the cable for the rear camera was run down the roofline on the driver’s side (right hand drive car). The cable used was 6 metres long, but you can buy a 10m cable. I did not take images during the installation, with the trim removed. I helped as it was the first time...
Has anyone ONLY replaced the OEM speakers (front doors and rear doors, and maybe sub from premium package)? If so, what did you go with and how do you like it? I'd just like better sounding speakers but don't want to necessarily install new tweeters, etc.
Okay so the rig is great, I have almost completely recovered from Battered Defender Syndrome. Except, my truck was delivered with exactly one key - they assured me the replacement would be there soon. It's close to a year. Anyone else had this issue? Or are keys at every other dealership, and not Mossy Ineos in Houston?
This is my biggest annoyance with the car the clicking of the relay for the window wipers. Has anyone found a solid state relay to replace the original or find a quieter alternative? Attached is the original relay https://uk.farnell.com/te-connectivity/v23134j52d642/relay-automotive-spst-no-12vdc/dp/9913769?srsltid=AfmBOooBeylQ3xd19OzlNDOXjiyeF0v2HHM3XLLYGcCSlfFult3Ssgnp
I think this creak contributes the lack of solidness when my IG goes on washboard and bump roads. I keep hearing rattles and creaking from the dashboard area Has anyone fixed this kind of creak ?
2 questions: 1 - Does the OK button on the steering wheel do anything? If so, what? I’ve never used it and it doesn’t seem to do anything that I can tell. 2 - After putting a screen protector on the info screen, I never use the center dial. At all. Yes, I’m being lazy by asking here, but does anybody know off the top of their head if there is space under there I could potentially remove the center wheel and buttons and put a recessed compartment, or perhaps a larger bottle holder? …Just...
I know the exterior colour of mine is going to be green, but i want to go with a different colour for inside other than black. Do any kne know what colours they are having inside?
Hello, will the rear seats in the utlitiy-version be foldable? Asking, because the space to the front seat is smaller then in the other versions. Regards, Helge
Does anyone know the interior height from the cargo deck to the roof in the SW? Already thinking about my interior build plans and I haven't been able to find this dimension.
Hi folks, studied the pics recently of the IG seating comparison btw SW and Utility. Anyone able to concrete compare the Utility rear seating with the rear bench of a classic 110 Defender, especially when it comes to the steepness angle of the back? Is it at least a little bit more literally laid back than the classic 110? Cheers
Thread 'FOLDABLE TAILGATE CAMP TABLE'
The Grenadier website has little information concerning the optional camp table beyond a few words ("useful, robust table") & some pictures. I have included it in my purchase as I think it's very well priced at A$440. Nevertheless, does anyone know the dimensions of the table, it's weight & load carrying capacity? The picture below seems to show 2 vertical slots in the metal at the top. Could these be slots to insert legs for extra loads? If so, where are the legs?
Does anyone know how much the front seats are adjustable? I haven't seen any pictures yet. I am particularly interested in whether the backrest can be placed horizontally so that a passenger can rest on it.
Could anyone throw light as to who is the interior designer for the Grenadier? Was Pininfarina involved in the interior design?
Buenas tardes. Me pregunto cuáles serían las ventajas y desventajas del baúl sin vidriar. No lo tengo muy claro aunque me gusta más sin veladuras. Cuál es tu opinión.
Thread 'Suppliers ~ IAC ~ Complete Vehicle Interior'
So this first part isn't new ~ it's just the relevant excerpt from the Ineos Supplier Bulletin dated August 2021:
Thread 'Dimensions intérieures du Grenadier (Interior dimensions of the Grenadier)'
Thread 'Leg Space Load Space'
Quick visit to my local dealer and it was suggested that the slightly forward seat position of the 5 seat utility wagon could be moved back to the same as the station wagon. with some basic spanner work and possibly plastic trim adaptation. Anyone who has actually seen each model know if this is likely to be feasible? From the attached photos it looks like the same mounting point with a different bracket for the uprights.
My horse is so far ahead of my cart that I should’t even be thinking about getting ahold of a Grenadier. But I can’t stop and I’m constantly thinking about it. That said… I came across this website “Saddlebag” Although this is designed for the 4 Runner, I think something like this would be perfect to square up the space over the wheel wells. The final configuration Gren rear cargo area is yet to be seen, but from the images I’ve seen thus far, the spaces over the wheel wells aren’t too flat...
