The last few days my grenadier has developed a metal on metal grinding/squeal when turning right. No sound on left turn. It sounds like a dry tie rod end eating itself up, but it isn’t. It’s only when turning right which is weird, leading me to think it’s the steering box and not pump. It’s not the “normal” pump whine noise. Anyone else had this issue?
Thread 'Alignment - Need Advice'
Everyone - Since new, my IG has pulled left. A month ago it was aligned and steering wheel centered up. There was still a pull. Today, I had the alignment checked and it was adjusted. Attached are the results. After driving, still a pull left and unfortunately, the steering wheel is off center again (tilts left). I am wondering what you think? Should I seek out an independent shop?
Thread 'Front Suspension Lower Control Arm Torque Specs'
I've found what appears to be either conflicting or ambiguous information in the workshop manual regarding the torque specification for the front lower control arm bolt and nut. LOWER CONTROL ARM - REMOVE AND REPLACE The procedure for removing and replacing the front lower control arm is found at Workshop Manual | Station Wagon and Utility Wagon | 4. Steering and Suspension | 4C. Front Suspension | Control arm Front Lower Left (Remove and Install) This document...
I am looking for some advice. I am an early owner of Grenadier in the UK and rightly or wrongly purchased a petrol commercial version. I believe that the springs are stiffer on the commercial models which is great for towing or when I have a reasonable load onboard but I would like a better ride quality on the road, most of my driving is UK country lanes which are bumpy and pot holed. I was thinking that changing out the shocks for something like the French Nimbus hydrolic shock or...
May be over... When I went to pick it up, the truck was now pulling to the right but the shop was saying it all in the gree and they had gone thru the axle alignment proceedure twice. So a service tech had the idea of swapping wheel sides, and voila, it pulled left. RDS gave me two take off tires, and the truck drives straight. I've heard of bad belts causing this issue, but I've never experienced it. The reason it showed up after the axle assembly swap (see other threads) is likely...
It looks expensive. Maybe INEOS will do us a solid and sell it for less profit
BACKGROUND Over 30,000km driven in the IG with the BF Goodridge KO2's (KO2) tyres fitted. Over 150,000 kms with Coopers ST Maxx tyres (ST Maxx) on the Nissan Patrol. CONTENDERS at TYRE SIZE 265/70/R17 The tyres I considered to replace the KO2's were: BF Goodridge KO3's (KO3) - the leading contender, thanks to @globalgregors; Coopers ST Maxx - my long-term trusted AT tyre; and Falken Wildpeak AT4's (AT4) - the new boy on the block, suggested by the Tyre Shop. The ST Maxx was the first...
Hello everyone, I don't know if it fits in here (otherwise please move or delete my post), but I have problems with the air conditioning. It started in the summer with rainwater flowing into the car. Attached is a video taken while driving in the rain. Water was running into the passenger's footwell. This was then remedied by the dealer (some kind of silicone measure; the front cover seal was obviously not in place). However, since the measure was taken, water has been dripping into the...
Anyone using a Yakima mod drawer system in the grenadier? Much lower cost than those boutique brands, and much easier to resell since it’s not bespoke to the grenadier The height is also 7” so it’s perfectly aligned with the rear seats https://yakima.com/products/mod-homebase
For those of you who have either purchased from, or benefited from one of David's video series, his google reviews are now live. design-build-go reviews https://g.co/kgs/6bz5J4E
Has anyone ordered the Wolfbox mounting adapter? It doesn’t fit the Grenadier’s rearview mirror mounting ball. The mount must be removed and a little metal plate glued to the windshield. Seems like a big hassle. Think I would go to a windshield shop to have this done. Or order it he 67 Designs adapter, but it’s $137usd ($200cdn). I’m using the rubber straps right now.
Hello all - truth be told, our search function isn't the best. This is for a variety of reasons, but it can be quite frustrating when one is looking for something and cannot find it. Hence this post! Somewhere here there was a photo of a phone holder/tray that sat above the infotainment dial on the consol. Can any of you direct me to that image?
Thread 'Favorite mods, so far'
I love the auto-stop eliminator cover that I got from Grenadier Works on this forum! Now I can forget I even had that annoying feature! The Toyota Supra shift lever looks much more truck-like to me. Shout out to OWL for the how -to You Tube video that showed me this possibility!
Thread 'No need to spend a lot on a tailgate table!!'
Made this for the tailgate on my station wagon. Hope it might inspire others if in need of a project for evenings and weekends. Cheap to make, no rattles and perfectly functional.
Hi, I know a few of you carry air tanks rather than compressors, so I wanted to see how you are mounting them in the wagon. I searched and couldn't find what I was looking for so I thought I would ask here. Thanks in advance,
Thread 'Found it. (rattle)'
I was going bonkers but not enough to deal with the issue until today…. There has been a metal on metal rattle / vibration since almost new but only at around 2,000 rpm and only under certain engine load conditions like accelerating in 8th gear on the highway…. Car has a little over 17,000 miles these past 1.5 years. The rattle would intermittently go away, get louder, change frequency…. It would sound sometimes like a loose nut, but a nut that was slightly oversized for the bolt threads...
Thread 'What is this?'
Any idea what this is. I removed an OBD reader and I heard something fall. This is what I found. Thoughts?
Thread 'How to remove it? (tailgate cover)'
Good morning, I would like to adjust the upper closure of the wide tailgate but I have to remove the plastic cover first. Has anyone already removed it? Do you have a couple of photos? Thanks
Thread 'Subwoofer adding guideline (not official)'
Hello, since I wanted to install a subwoofer because the sound was not good for me, I made a small tutorial here. The whole thing was installed by me with the best of my knowledge and conscience, but this does not mean that it was carried out perfectly and error-free! Everyone acts as he wants;) Since my English is not so error-free, I was supported by a program, so whoever finds errors can keep them😅So and off we go🥳 The whole thing was realised with a Pioneer TS-WX130DA. This is not too...
