I'm looking at swapping out to see what's it like. I don't feel like paying $300 for one. Are they mostly the same lengths? I'm looking at the old man emu which people liked. What's the difference between the 48 and 24? https://www.amazon.com/ARB-OMESD48-Steer-Damper-Dust/dp/B008JXFRD0?tag=globalgrena0b-20
Anyone run the 1.7/1.2 option from Eibach long enough to have an opinion or some good feedback? I'm curious about the driveshaft issue, and install or not I can see how the 2.0 lift could cause issue but what about the 1.7? Is it within an acceptable tolerance? Or am I crazy and the 2.0 causes no issues and it's all about who installs it? Just looking for some info, happy to play it safe with the 1.7 and therefore curious. Thx!
Hello everyone. After years of learning from all of you. I have decided to take the plunge and buy a used grenadier. I have several fieldmaster or trial master candidates with or without winch. The question I have is the difference in suspension if there is any difference for driving on the road. My first thought is trialmaster with winch but I don't want to be penalized for road use considering that they all have the same wheel.
I figured by now there would be complete suspension kits with long arm travel and all that fun stuff. Just curious if there is a reason why this hasn’t happened yet?
Good evening all! I have a 2 seat utility which is boxed out to carry tools and parts as a service vehicle. With me sat in it on a weigh bridge it is 3440kgs, so 60 kgs off max. Weight. It drives and carries the weight well, but does sit a bit lower at the rear. I want some uprated rear springs to get it back up to normal kerb height, but not sure where to source in the uk? The dealer has suggested aftermarket rather than through Ineos….
Hey guys, during my last overlanding trip my grenadier was very unstable offroad, the car seems to shift left and right in the dunes which makes the car difficult to control. Changes made to the car: 285 70 17 tires, Eibach lift kit 1.7” Front 1.2” Back. About 240kg worth of weight (excluding passengers.) Anyone has any idea of why this issue has occurred? The only change to my previous trip was a 120liter water tank.
Thread 'alignment specs/SAI odd'
The primary angles below track just fine on 2 lane and highway, with the tire PSI set to the high 40's. So, if you're looking for target numbers, these may work for ya. Needing tires at 36psi always seemed odd to me. After a dealer alignment, and now an independent realignment the car still pulls left. Check out the SAI.... Anyone have any SAI numbers from an alignment they care to share?
Anyone tried them out yet? I find my antisway isn't as great as they could be. Anyone tried the new set from eibach yet?
Thread 'Stearing link install issue'
Trying to re-install my steering arm to the drop arm and am having an issue where I can't get the nut tight enough and have broken two toes bits trying to hold the shaft in place from spinning while tightening with an open ended wrench.... So I have two questions... 1. Has anyone re-installed this and has advice on how to do it without messing up the bushing or breaking torque bits? 2. Is there a torque spec? Is there a better way them a torque wrench and a spaner wrench since you have to...
Just got an email from agile off-road that the 2.5 fox shocks had been released for the Grenadier. Pricey but the reviews from other truck brands have been excellent. https://agileoffroad.com/product/front-fox-performance-elite-series-2-5-dsc-evo-reservoir-shocks-for-ineos-grenadier-by-agile-offroad/
There are no posts with Rake as the subject. I like the idea of the 2.5” Eibach springs but I do tow and I don’t want my front end to be higher than the rear. Only about 3500 pounds of tow but Still I thought rake is better for handling in general. I will add the winch and bull bar to the front so maybe that would help. Would you get a different combo of springs to keep the rake? Why is everyone trying to remove rake?
Hey fellow early adopters! I’ve been dealing with a power steering error on my ‘24 Trialmaster for about a month. It turns out having my Bluetooth OBD reader (OBDLink MX+) plugged in while driving was throwing the error. I haven’t seen this posted on the forums (apologies if it’s already been solved and posted elsewhere!). I’ve not had the error since unplugging it about 500 miles ago. Hope this helps someone in the future!
I’m looking for some advice regarding rear spring setup on my Grenadier. I currently have a 2.5” lift in the front, but the rear sits noticeably lower. Not sure if it’s just the lift difference or if the rear springs can’t handle the weight I’m carrying. Right now, the rear is loaded with a spare tire, a roof rack with two storage boxes, and a drawer system in the cargo area — total constant weight is probably just under 200 kg (around 440 lbs). I’m considering switching to either the...
I smell a rubber burning smell after I turn Grenadier off and get out. The is no noise, sounds or malfunctions? Pls give me some thoughts what it could be anyone.
Does anyone know if there are spring rate/roll bar differences between the 2023 Fieldmaster without a towbar and the 2023 Utility vehicles with a factory specified tow bar? I ask this as after nearly 6 months not driving a Grenadier, I find my new to me Fieldmaster much more prone to roll than I remember my Utility truck. Does sticking a tow bar on a Fieldmaster need a spring rate change as part of a conversion to a "factory" installation?
I am asking this for my brother. He has been having an issue with his Fieldmaster’s steering becoming almost “locked” while making turns at highway speed on certain roads and bends. He says it feels as if the power steering has failed. He has to “muscle” his words to steer the wagon. He says that it only happens on certain roads and on certain bends. He took his FM to a local dealership and could not replicate it. Of course. Talking with him an hour ago, it happened twice while I was...
Does anyone know what this sound could be. If you turn it up you can hear a “whine” when pressing gas. Did not do this until towing. 3800# trailer so well within the capacity. https://391dave.smugmug.com/Grenadier/i-DcSsHnm
hello, i want to buy eibach springs but i am bit confused which one i need. i have added some parts to my car roof top tent roof rack shower tent awning winch drawers + fridge i would say arround 300kg extra maybe someone can help me with the choise, i think the car is a bit soft right know. normally we drive with 4 or 5 people + all the stuff later i will add 285/75/17, but right know i am on stock tires ronny
I would really like to lower my Grenadier for more on road and street use. Does anyone know of eibach (or other) springs that could lower the car quite substantially? Cheers Ian
Has anyone tried this: View: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ytSjkhdcHx4
