I’ve noticed the steering wheel on center free-play seems to be increasing a bit as things break in. Curious if others have noticed the same as the dead spot before you feel any resistance in the steering while turning it slightly left or right off center seems to be growing (about a half inch of free movement either side of center for about an inch or so overall measuring front top center strip of the steering wheel. It certainly didn’t feel this way when I picked the vehicle up new...
Anyone know what the difference in the rear springs are vs. the OEM springs from this new offering from Eibach? Same height but different spring rate or are they the same springs but silver instead of yellow? I have the OEM springs with the red triangle and trying to find out what the specs are on these Eibach springs vs. my OEM springs but can't get through to them to ask the question.
We have one more choose in high end shocks, Radflow rolled out there new 2.5 inch shocks and Steering stabilizer for the INEOS Grenadier, they have two types Single knob compression adj and high/low adjustable compression shock for fronts and rears. $670 per shock with single compression adj $960 per shock with Hi/lo $400 for the Stabilizer Link to shocks and stabler So we now starting to have good choices for Premium shocks Kings 2.5" with Reservoir and stabilizer Eibach is...
Thread 'Does This Look Correct?'
We just did a 3600 mile journey and the front end started getting noisy and I could feel vibration in the floorboards. Eibach 30mm springs and BFG 285/75/17 KO2 tires. Front passenger side.
I don’t know which sub-forum this should be in but this foum says “Steering” and that’s the closest I could find. I hope this isn’t a dumb question. If it is, just pretend it isn’t ;) I’m petite and short — 5’4”. And I wish I could see a bit better, mostly through the rear view. I have the ladder and I understand the ladder and spare obscure the view no matter what. And I’m used to some of that bc of my 2 former Discos 1&2 and my LR3. In those cars I removed the rear seat head rests and...
I'm looking for some specific shock data. I would like to know the static, min, and max lengths, and the eye hole diameter(s). Thanks, if anyone has that data.
Has anyone else experienced a creaking sound under the truck when hitting bumps at high speeds? I notice it driving on the interstate. Thoughts?
Got the bug to upgrade the suspension. A bit perplexed by the options available, so seeking some opinions. At least 80% of my driving is on two lane tarmac. But we live near Anza Borrego / Ocotillo Wells and enjoy wheeling around out there. The other consideration is that we tow a 5500 lb trailer from time to time and I have concerns about safety. My current thinking is to go with a front steering stabilizer, 285/75/17 BFG's and at least a 1.7" lift on Eibach springs, or maybe 2.5" if I can...
My Trialmaster is in with my service centre for software updates. I have been informed that one of the front suspension springs is broken and requires replacement! The vehicle has now done 12000 miles and never seriously off roaded, so I was quite taken aback. Has anyone had a similar experience? Tony
Out for breakfast with my daughter today were walking across the parking lot, and I’m like Grenadier. But I didn’t see it yet. I heard it behind me because of the steering whine pump. my daughter said she heard it before she saw it too. White IG at University and Orchard. The cinnamon swirl pancakes at pancake house are to die for.
Hello, I’m on a trip in Norway/Sweden heading north, and I’ve encountered an issue with my rear suspension. It seems the rear shock absorber has failed – it’s oily, likely leaked out completely. The dealership informed me that they will replace it under warranty, but since we’re thousands of kilometers away and it’s the holiday season, nothing can be done until at least January 7th, 2025, when vacations are over. I’d prefer not to cut the trip short. I’m looking for an alternative solution...
Does anyone know what the stock USA gasoline trialmaster weight distribution is for the front and rear axles ? Winch and/or non winch?
I am installing King front and rear shocks tomorrow and when reading thru the instructions provided from King it reads to tighten upper and lower bolts and torque to factory specs. I cannot find anywhere that tells the factory torque specs for front and rear shocks, can anyone help me with this?
Hi all, I am considering the Owl 2.5" spring lift and King Shocks to pair with it. I have heard some concern around lifting the trucks, specifically concerning driveshafts and axels. Does anyone have any thoughts regarding the Owl lift or lifting these trucks in general? Ultimately I'd like to fit 35s for a little better clearance of jagged rocks on a path I often travel.
Agile Off-road did a video on how they install Eibach springs. View: https://youtu.be/9PlnLMcMDMM?si=dIcbA7TBM6FpaRur
Hi everyone, I’m considering purchasing an Ineos Grenadier, but I’d like to know if anyone has tried any aftermarket products or modifications to improve its handling characteristics. Are there suspension upgrades, sway bars, or other enhancements that have made a noticeable difference? Took one out for a test drive and it slightly terrified me. As I’ll be doing considerable distances on highways, I really want to know if anyone’s successfully invented a product that reduce the need for...
When I had the wheel alignment adjusted today I was informed that there wasn't much clearance before the bump stops contacted the surfaces that start compressing them. On inspection, it seemed there was only about 1.5cm of clearance. But as the rubbers are so big I wondered whether they are meant to be contacted early and be more of a part of the suspension than is normally the case on other vehicles. My five-seat Australian Trialmaster has a petrol engine, 17" BFGs on steelies, no winch...
I don’t really have an issue with the stock truck right now (Trialmaster + Winch and Sliders) and I think if the MT Baja King 255/85 r17s don’t rub at full flex on the existing 17” rims, then that would give me enough clearance for my needs without a lift. The problem I have is weight of my existing gear. I am trying to decide if I should pick up a trailer to tow or take it all in/on the truck. My philosophy is to keep it as stock as possible, but I need to carry about 1300lbs for my...
Does the - Roadmaster 800-669-9690 Vancouver WA Reflex steering stabilizer RSSC https://www.roadmasterinc.com/class-c-stabilizer-ford-chevy/ really auto return the vehicle ? Bob
Hi all. Reaching out to the community here for advice. Quick drive to the store today and got the C10 Steering System Failure light coming home. I had no idea that's what it was, so I drove back to my house and looked in the manual. The direction is to "immediately park and call the dealer for a tow. Do not drive." The steering seemed sluggish after the light came on, but that could have also been in my head. I mean, it's a red steering wheel with an exclamation point. You are kind of...
