When the second seat row is folded down it still remains some 200mm above the level of the floor behind the seats. I am researching the building of a bespoke storage units behind the second seat row to the back doors - that would allow a lot of easily accessible space/a fridge/water tank etc but also make the entire rear area the same level to potential allowing sleeping. I am thinking this storage system, that would include slide out drawers, may need to be quickly demountable...

Thread 'Removable draw system'
I am looking at getting or making a removable draw system that is held in place with the utility rails. I have had virtually no experience with draw systems I would prefer to adapt to a standard system if possible so I can take advantage of what is readily available. My preference would be something I could install when needed within about 30 minutes. I have found a variety of options but they are all based on a permanent install and they all look pretty similar I am not going camping but...
Had the IG for 18 months, and just yesterday I was driving and it seems like the wheel is canted so the left is closer? I’m going off the relative distance from the dashboard of the cruise control buttons on the left and the audio on the right. I can’t tell if the face perimeter of the wheel is not perpendicular, but definitely the buttons don’t seem to be in the same plane? I was adjusting the wheel position for some driving in the twisty parts of the mountain, and it just struck me that it...
It looks like the middle row seats do not tumble forward, just fold flattish. They still stick up higher than the cargo area. Will the middle row seats be easily removable? On long trips I like to remove my middle row seats to give extra packing room and carrying capacity. In addition, will all the battery related electrics be exposed?
Thread 'Handbrake plastic shroud around button chipping away'
Anyone else having issues with the plastic shroud around the handbrake button fracturing and chipping away? It seems to be happening right where the stitches are in the leather. Subsequently, I looked back at some pictures of my vehicles interior I took at delivery and noticed a small single chip in the shroud which somehow I missed. Another small piece has since chipped away so I suspect the shroud was probably fractured during assembly perhaps? I did notice a picture on GrenadiersUSA...
Just received telephone call from Ineos to advise that carpet flooring is no longer available due to 'standards issue'. Therefore only rubber matting can be specced BUT carpet mats are still available. Those like myself who chose the carpet flooring will have their account amended in due course. A shame that this 'issue' has only now been found at a very late stage hopefully no more 'surprises' to come !!
Hi All The collapsed cardboard box I put in a couple of years ago, the first day I got my Grenadier has now had its day! I was at a dealership last night after coolant hose fixed and asked them about boot liners. This drew a blank with them, maybe as it was 2 minutes to closing. I looked up on this forum and it said it was an old thread so I’m asking advice on what high sided liners are available / recommended in the UK. Any assistance much appreciated Cheers
In Aufenau on my test drive, the car on display had the leather seats in Black & (White or Grey). And that's exactly my uncertainty. What I expected to be a bright grey turned out to be almost white. This would eventually be a reason not to go with that. A new Blue Jeans (as an example) often likes to spend some of the blue color to other items, e.g. in the washing machine, or may be as well to white leather. And I am btw. not very fond of a 'white'ish surface of the seats. So my questions...
Thread 'Dobinson drawers fit!'
View: https://youtu.be/QKuN10lQ6uw?si=HCwApnhT6pEs1j4c https://exitoffroad.com/product/dobinsons-rear-dual-roller-drawer-kit-with-fridge-slide-and-tie-down-points-universal-mount-36-x-40-x-10-inches/ I measured a few times and took a risk to see if these drawers would fit. Got lucky and they fit great. No drilling needed either. Mounted to L track mounts. Gonna do the universal wings trim to fit finishing kit when I have time. Had to remove my door table for this setup to work.
As some of you who have been here for a while will no doubt have realised I have been droning on about the seat covers from Melville and Moon since the start. They are the sand coloured canvas ones used in the Ineos video in South Africa when Eluid Kipchoge drove it. Anyway I have spoken to Steffi who runs the UK side of things and she has informed me that they have the patterns and have already got stock in sand and the grey duck canvas covers. £440 for the fronts and £660 for the...
Hi All, I sometimes wear eyeglasses (night driving) and prescription sunglasses (sunny days), and am often struggling to find a place to put them. A solution that works in my other rigs (sunglass holder on sun visor) doesn't work because I have Owl/Rosen sun visors and they are at cross purposes. I'm currently using hard cases in the center console bin, but the bin is so tiny that the glasses cases eat up a lot of space so the bin is less useful for other items. I'd love something that...
I would like to begin this thread to help me, and hopefully others, as I decide to figure out the aftermarket wheel situation. So this is what I ask: 1 - Please post a few photos of your wheel and tire setup 2 - Identify the make and size of the wheel including the offset (if possible) 3 - Identify the make and size of the tire 4 - Identify the country/region you are in 5 - Provide any links to mfgs, fitters, etc. It would be great if this stayed as a photo-only thread so it's quick and...
Hello ladies, Anyone know what the largest tire size is that can be used without rubbing, binding, and without cutting the vehicle to make it fit? I'm also wondering if there are any options out there for upper control arm replacement to properly lift the truck say... 4 inches, while retaining correct angles.  Lastly... I see that spare tire upgrade size will likely be limited by the left rear access door needing room to open before the right side... looks like about 2 inches further...
Is there any information about tires to be allowed? In particular the BFG KM3 are interesting me. They seem to be mounted in some videos. What do you think - will they be on the list of accredited tires?
In the configurator there is an option for wheel size - 17" or 18".  I don't know which to choose... How do I decide?
I got KO2 on my Landy. They look good, but if you travel much on bitumen there are better tires. They are noisy and getting noisier when aging, especially in cold weather. Their wet performance is below average.Cooper where better and they have good grip in rough terrain, but I liked the Toyo best. Very good balanced for offroad and road.  The Bridgestone will be my choice. Most of my driving will be on highways, and if I really should need a tire for heavy offroading a second set of tires...
Thread 'BFG KO2 - A Great Tire'
For those who are wondering about the BFG KO2, check out this review (below). Everything he says matches my experience with these tires. I don't know what load range he is running - I run Load Range E. In addition to having a heavier load rating than Load Range C, the E-rated tires have thicker / stronger sidewalls, which provide greater puncture resistance - and in rocky terrain this is great; its also nice in the desert and in other places where there are thorns. Of course, the E-rated...
Hi all not sure if this has been covered but does anyone know the wheel offset/wheel nut pattern and centre bore. Thanks
Thread 'Tires - Load Range'
It looks like the BFG KO2s on this Grenadier are Load Range D - I think this is a good choice.     Screenshot from 2:32 in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25UpOr3exgA
