Front drive shaft broken

The front and rear driveshafts.
Would they have had any input you think in terms of the design and orientation of the TC to axle pitch of the front and rear shaft or does that buck stop with Magna or other? If not, I wonder whether they should have (or did) comment at the sub optimal angle of dangle of the front shaft? Guess will never know.
 
The miles were spread out over many vehicles and they did not do nearly enough high speed driving over long distances which seems hasten the CV boot failure.
Bingo. In the US we drive 80 MPH for hours or days on end. Most failures have involved mileage, and road failures. Mine was towing on a bouncy road.
 
Let me add, I assumed this would be a huge problem off road. After all, you are flexing out a shaft with too little travel. But I have not seen one off road fail. I would encourage someone testing a new rig to be a little more broad in their approach. That is what bites manufacturers so often. They should have had a few testing in America.
 
If long, fast drives (85mph/140km/hr) are a factor, Europe should be seeing failures at an higher rate than places like Australia (110km/.hr limit except in one state : 130km/hr.
Maybe you are only allowed one out of the two <Lifted> and <driven fast>?
