Thread 'Mystery connector'
Does anyone know what this mystery connector I am holding, which I found in the battery compartment may be for? Thanks!
Hi all I had my first real annoying issue today with the Grenadier. The Park Distance Control (PDC) warning light on front RHS went off for no reason under brakes ( in fairly solid rain) a couple of times this morning on my commute to work. It happened twice. I was more annoyed with the alarm sound and the fact the radio turns off at the same time. I turned off the PDC on the console and it stopped. I am going in for snorkel/indicator fix and some recalls in a couple of weeks, assuming...
Thread 'Front Light Bar Exclusion Zone'
Hi! I am wondering if the space under the grill area is a functional vent for cooling? I wanted to place a light bar here because it fits perfectly. Also, where is the plug located for Ext1 so I can connect it to the interior switch? These are my two options at the moment.
If anyone has installed an Anderson plug from the starter battery to the rear, can you please share how you went about this with pics? I'm looking to do the same. Regards.
Apologies if this has already been discussed in other threads, but this was the first I had seen the Safety Notice from CTEK regarding the SmartPass. It appears the SmartPass is very sensitive to short circuits, and if used afterwards can overheat. Link to overall notice https://www.ctek.com/product-safety-notice-smartpass# Link to Distributor Notes re the Safety Notice...
I've just received my new Grenadier--what an amazing vehicle! I'm looking for solutions related to the installation of amateur radio /GMRS (to include antenna considerations without holes in the roof).
I’ll be taking my Grenadier over the Channel to France this year, and will need to make sure I’m prepared. I know I’ll need to do the headlight conversion, and to a supplement my reflective jackets (which I’m moving so they’re reachable from the front seats), warning triangle, fire extinguisher and first aid kit with… a UK sticker do the headlight conversion bulb kit It’s the last one I’m a bit unsure about. Any tips on what I should get? Will a generic set be suitable, or are there...
I have a utility 5-seater without winch. With power on and 500A on at the dash there ist now voltage at the Nato socket?! What's wrong? Ist the Nato socket just a dummy?
Apologies if this has been asked before. Does anyone know where the Sirius XM antenna is located? I’m looking at rack options and don’t want to block the antenna if I decide to activate the satellite radio? I made this mistake with a Bronco… Thanks! Bikesandguitars Northern Colorado
On Saturday I had a ride and drove a small loop in the area. The battery was at 72% when I set off and was then at 78% in the evening. So no problems on Saturday. But when I wanted to go for a ride on Sunday, the engine wouldn't start and the starter remained silent. The control lights were on and when they went off I turned the key as usual. The message “preheating active” (original: "Vorglühen aktiv") came up and then “restart engine”. But no success. Battery was still at 78%. Four or...
Hi everyone, I am waiting for the shorter version of the roof rack. I also ordered a light bar. How are people attaching the light bar to roof if you have the shorter roof rack and safari windows? Thanks!
Thread 'Aux lights with a black housing?'
I remember a few years back, there were promotional pictures/videos where the prototypes had the aux lights blacked out. I always loved that look, so I was wondering if there were aftermarket lights that have black housings?
Thread 'Lights Fixing Quality'
Hi All, I wonder if someone had this issue, as shown in the attached image. It happened after driving on gravel routes; this piece moved out due to the vibration. I had this issue three times. Eisa
Page 74 of the manual grandly starts to describe Tourist Mode for headlamp conversion to drive abroad where vehicles are driven on the other side of the road. I guess this affects drivers from the British Isles more than any others… everyone else has a long way to go to need this. Or maybe Euro visitors to Britain. Turns out to be a sticky plaster (bandaid?) solution! Sticky tape 55x35mm has to obscure the upper lens to convert the beam to a flat top with no up-kick to the near side. See...
Thread 'Damaged Touch Screen'
Okay, lets get the obvious out of the way. Yes, I was driving with a tube between the front seats, no I wasn't intelligent enough to put a lid on said tube, no I don't have a screen protector (despite owning one and constantly saying I must put it on the screen) and finally yes I know all of the above are ridiculous as individual failures, never mind compounded with all 3. Now to business; - In said tube between the seats was a sample section of aluminium profile, which, when I braked...
I noticed that with the engine shutoff, after pressing lock or unlock button from the remote key, my grenadier makes a very high pitch beeping sound that lasts 5 or 10 seconds. Wondering if this is normal or anyone else noticing the same issue.
I have a warning that my bonnet is open. This may also be the reason why the doors can no longer be closed by remote control. I have opened and closed the bonnet several times, oiled the catches, checked the sensor cables, jiggled the lever in the footwell without success - nothing has helped! Does anyone have any ideas?
Thread 'Earthing/Body connecting eyelet not connected on AM/FM/DAB Antenna.'
OK Brains Trust this is an odd one - I wiring up a reversing camera and I have removed the rear right hand side panel that surround the brake/indicator light and also the upper panel cover above it. Under the upper panel the AM/FM./DAB radio antenna is located. The cables for that exits the body via a grommet, I noticed a negative/grounding post or stud that has a lot of paint on it, plus an eyelet that is connected to what I assume is a negative grounding cable. Does anyone know it this...
Thread 'Hi load switch panel'
Hi I’m trying to establish if my grenadier has got the wires already in place for the hi load switch panel. As I did not order it from the factory (mistake didn’t think i would need it) Could anyone with a hi load panel see if there’s looks like the picture below Cheers James
Hi all, i would like to install some charger or have a charger in the car to easily connect for the following situations. -During camping trips when i have the ability to use the electrical power from the camp side. here i would like to charge the batteries and during the same time the fridge is connected to the cars batteries -when the car is parked for a longer period of time during the winter in the garage to ensure the batteries stay healthy Because the car has the dual battery...
