Thread 'Snorkel'
The other day I realized that the "grill" on the top of the snorkel had fall down and It is lost. Asked yo muy dealer and told me Ineos do not sell the grill alone, they sell the complete snorkel kit. Any of you have has this problem before? Any solution?
I am in market for a decent spare wheel bag (at least 50 Lt) to use for extra storage and/or for rubbish. There are so many brands around, different materials, design, size & price. In Australia, cheaper, basic ones start around $80 and high quality, multi-pocket from $175 to $230. What brands are members using and why? I wonder if having the spare wheel lockage storage box means either I don't need one or I should get a small/medium one to make it easy to get access to the box?
In the final configurator for countries outside the US (where I am), is there an option to select the orientation of the tires on the rims? And what is theconsensus on preference: white lettering visible, or on the inside? Personally, I have never owned a vehicle with the white lettering visible, and do not want to have to dismount five tires to re-orient them if my Grenadier comes with white letters on the outside! Comments? Should we ask Ineos to add the option of tire orientation to the...
Title says it all. If the contrast roof was a normal/true white then I know a 3M white vinyl and any white powder coat (or even a good rattle-can job) would do the trick. Matching wheels and a partial wrap (e.g. bonnet & rear door) is what I'm noodling on. But IG contrast white roofs are Scottish White. So ... colour matching vinyl or wheel paint/coating is beyond my expertise. Thoughts?
Thread 'Water Leak - Large Rear Door'
So back on my pre-PDI inspection, I noticed a dribble of water down the inside face of the large rear door: https://www.theineosforum.com/threads/unacceptable-build-quality-issues-on-delivery.12411912/post-1333172331 Today, I opened the door and noticed the same pattern: Tracking it back up the trim section: And it goes all the way to the top corner seal:
Does anyone else have the issue that rain water collects under the seal of the driver’s door so that a mini flood onto the road happens when the door gets opened? As far as I an see there is no water inside the vehicle so it is obviously outside the sealed area. Not a major issue and I have got used to standing away from the vehicle whilst opening that door after rain.
Thread 'water leak at Safari Roof'
As mentioned before in some other threads, I have a water infiltration in my car. As my garage didn't find it yet, and as I picked up my car last week, I tried to find it myself! I am sometimes wondering if my Grenadier is a refurbished Land Rover Defender! :mad: How did I do? • Car leaned slightly to the right (approximately 2°) • Removed upper side panels (both sides) and sunshade (passenger side) • Removed Safari Roofs • Stopper placed on the safari roof drain pipe...
Has any heard a dreaded crunch, followed by the power window not going down the final couple inches? I thought I drove over some twigs, while lowering the window. The crunching sound was the same. But the window binds up at the last couple inches. I’m tempted to remove the door panel and take a look inside but I’m not a panel removing kind of guy. Are those torx screws all that’s holding it on or will I need one of those angled pry bar things?
I didn't read this one on the door latch thread. So, I go lower the windows before pulling out, and the Drivers window stops 2" before bottom. Hm.. I do the up and down tinker with it, and it wont go all the way down. I get to my destination, I leave the windows down and get out, when I return I notice the door isn't latched? So I get in, pull it closed, and it just bounces. No latching. Well, now that's a pickle. I wind it up and it latches. I wind it down while unlocked, and it...
Thread 'Wire harness cable on back doors exposed at bottom?'
Are these plastic wire bundlers supposed to be put side the door like this? Mine does it on both sides. I can push them to be hidden, but they naturally seem to want to be exposed?
Hello this is Wahab from Kuwait. I just got my Field Master about a month ago and got 2000km on it. Today as I was parking my car I noticed that there was some water leaking under the car closer to the drivers seat. I made sure it was water and took a video of it. Anyone has an idea what it could be?
Hi All. Seems my rear driver side door handle no longer opens the door, from the inside or outside. There is no resistance on the button on the door handle (just moves in/out without resistance)…. And same for the interior latch that you pull to open and get out (no resistance). Door handle button moves freely, just no longer activates the latch itself, so the door stays closed. Locking / unlocking has no effect. Thoughts? My dealer is a solid 2-3 hours away dependent on traffic. Uhg I’m...
has anyone had the problem of not being able to open rear doors? I have had the occasional problem of not being able to open rear doors. Would randomly happen. Unfortunately it has been 2 weeks now since i have been able to open the main doors.
Thread 'Lockable Spare Wheel Cover Gone?'
Looks like the lockable spare wheel cover option has disappeared from the USA configurator. Anyone know what happened? This was one of the things I really thought was a cool feature.
Was looking for a manufacture to produce a personal wheel cover. I found this website that produces them for the INEOS agents here: https://www.4x4wheelcover.com/vehicles/ineos-grenadier/
Thread 'Removed spare tire'
I decided to remove my spare tire so I could detail behind it and replace the rear wiper. Boy! That spare is heavy! I need to workout more! Took a white marker and put a witness mark inside for easier remounting. Ended up using a platform to help me lift the tire back into place afterwards.
Hi, I like the idea of using the spare tire as an additional storage box with the locking spare tire cover. But it seems that the current Grenadier optional cover is plastic and would not be that secure. Is there an aftermarket locking cover that is more substantial. Especially if you were putting say an air compressor in it.
Anyone have noticed the presence of "running water" inside the rear part of the car? I'll explain better, every time I make a tight turn or a roundabout I ear water slushing around from the rear of the car, like having a bath tub underneath the rear floor of the bonnet. I have watched the car all around and under, but i haven't found anything. Before i get mad, it rust itself out, or take it to the dealership to let them take it apart. anyone had the same problem and a solution?
I wanted to share my latest experience as an owner with safari roof windows. I have had the car 6 weeks and it has 700 miles on the clock. Drooping Seals and Water Inside the Car I have the drooping and failing adhesive door seal issue on the front doors. I also had the issue where after heavy rain I would get a deluge of water when I opened the door. Some people have attributed this to the following "As the rain runs down the B pillar it leaks through the outer seal into the space between...
So the IG is a body on frame construction. But what I’m starting to see is that a lot of the body panels are welded to other parts? It almost seems like it’s a unibody on top of a chassis? For lack of a better explanation. For example, the rear quarter panel is welded to the roof? So if you ding a rear quarter panel, it’s not just taking off the panel and replacing a panel? Anybody have video of how they put together an Ineos‘s body? I was kind of surprised that the rear quarter panel...
