Wire harness cable on back doors exposed at bottom?

Are these plastic wire bundlers supposed to be put side the door like this? Mine does it on both sides. I can push them to be hidden, but they naturally seem to want to be exposed?

It's good to have a bit of room to move , down below.

Not recommended to poke out the leg of your shorts though.
Yes I thought long shorts and no undies would be OK but it appears not.
 
Another one of those rapid production design oops's. I seriously doubt they have custom UV/chemical stable wiring loom so It'll be a fix in 10 years if you park outside. Otherwise, I saw it and didn't even care enough to consider if I should care.
 
Me too. Been thinking that I should mount some plastic flange on the bottom of the door to guide the wire loom into it's proper place.

I think you can push them in and have them not exposed after you close the door. That is an interesting comment about the long activity of the plastic. Yes, I severely doubt that they used a very stabilized version. while my IG is parked inside most of the time, the UV is pretty bad here in Colorado.
