Wheel/Tire Upgrade Photos

How has your mpg been since upgrading to these? Any major difference or only slightly less mpg? Worth the trade off for the better handling you're stating?
I can't really notice much difference, maybe 1mpg... I wouldn't say handling is better, just about the same, I probably drive slightly more carefully in the wet based on previous mud tyre experience.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I just put my Grenadier on order this past weekend with steel wheels on the Trialmaster edition. MM color with black roof. So, looking for a 33 inch tire to upgrade too that won't hit my MPG too bad. I might leave the 31 inch tire on. Not sure yet. The slightly bigger tire just makes the Grenadier appearance drastically change, but I want to avoid hitting my MPG

FYI The falken MT's that I have are not a true 33" they are a 32.8" which is virtually the same as a 285/70-17...

Not that 0.2" is going to make much difference to your MPG...

How is that Mud Terrain on noise for you? I'm assuming naturally louder than stock tires?

Louder than the BFG At's for sure, but not bad, the soundproofing on the Grenadier is pretty good. If it was an old defender they would be way louder. I know from experience...

Dane, how is the pizza cutter style tire upgrade for you? Any issues to ride comfort or big mpg hit?
I don't track MPG, so I can't tell you the impact there. I have no complaints about the ride or noise. I don't really know what to tell you other than that I have no regrets.

Here ya go! Yes they’re hub centric!!! Bore is 84.1 just like the OEM wheels. If you call Paul Edellston at Braid USA, he can set ya up!

What does hub centric mean? NEWB Here :ROFLMAO:
The wheel is centered in place by the lip on the hub. Aftermarket wheels generally have a large bore size on their hub and then plastic or metal "rings" that click into place to make them hub centric. Without being hub centric you're relying on the studs to center the wheel, which doesn't work too well in most cases and can cause vibration

Awesome find dude! How much do they poke out from fender? I like a little bit of poke.
So I had mine custom made by Braid (made in Spain) to an offset of et40 - so a 40 offset. When I originally put these wheels on I went with 285-70-17 BFG Ko3 tires and I got about a quarter inch of poke. No with 315 and a 2.5” lift I get about an inch from the fender flare. Perfect stance.

When you say custom made by Braid, was the shaving off of the hub to your spec done at Braid factory in Spain or done by the reseller Stateside?

So, for my build Im wanting to go with a pizza cutter style tire to optimize the off road performance and not have massive weight compared to the thick boys we see that are wide. I looked on OK4WDs site and they said there was a 40.0 offset. I want a bit more poke, but mainly for stability and then looks second. Id rather have a bit more offset with a pizza cutter that way I dont have a heavier, wider tire weighting me down when we already get 15 mpg. Gotta balance daily drivability.

I'm curious, would you guys recommend an offset compared to the stock wheel? To be fair offset still confused me and apparently the lower or higher the number, the more poke you have? I'd be ideally running a 33 inch pizza cutter of some kind. Don't want bigger than that.

I don't want to speak for him, but you can custom order an offset directly off their site. So, to me it makes the most sense that was his route. IDK why someone would want to do it afterwards when they can do it directly from the factory.
