Anyone have issues from shops not wanting to sell Falkan Wildpeak A/T 4W Snow Tires to put on their Grenadier? I got 4 tires installed (based on recommendations here) but most of the general tire shops wouldn't do the install because the tire is not XL rated. This happened to me with America's Tire last year. The speciality tire shop that did the install of my 4 snow tires said it was only off by a few pounds. I just got a flat in one of those tires (after getting them put back on a month or so ago) and tried to order a replacement off TireRack and here's what they said:

"The tire selected for the 2024 INEOS Grenadier is not XL rated, which is required for the vehicle. This tire does not carry enough weight to support the vehicle and would be unsafe for use. I cannot ship this tire for the vehicle."

I found the tire on another website and actually had to input that I had a Toyota 4Runner in order to buy the tire.

I believe XL is a passenger tire rating, not light truck. I have a set of Falken Wildpeak A/T4W's in size LT255/80R17. They have a light truck 'E' load rating and I experienced no difficulties in having them mounted.
Thanks for the reply. Are your Falkans all seasons or snow tires? I'm wondering if this is just an issue with their snow tires.

The Wildpeak A/T4W’s are All Terrains that have 3 Peak Mountain Snow rating (which in my opinion is a “winter” marketing rating you should take with a grain of salt if you plan to spend a lot of time driving in snowy or freezing conditions). I switched to a dedicated winter tire and am currently on Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3 Non-studded in size 265/70R18

I have them, no problem but did LT.
