Secret waterreservoir?

I just had a long phone call with my Ineos-ServiceShop.

The guy responsible for the Grenadiers is absolutely willing to solve the problems with my truck.
We have an appointment next month and he hopes till then to get all the neccessary permission from Ineos to work on the different problems of water ingress.

As soon as we know where the water is from and how to fix it, I'm goint to present the solutions it in the WaterWiki!

Hello,

my truck sits in the service garage since almost 4 weeks now.
They detected four zones where water might get into the car.
Now the garage is waiting for answers from Ineos how they recommend to fix the problems.
I'm not so happy about that, I bought the truck for a lot of money and from the 10 weeks it is mine now, it was more than 5 weeks in the service.
I hope the situation will get better and I get the opportunity to have fun with my Grenadier soon.
I already keep a lot of parts in my barn I'd like to build, but I do not know, when I will get the truck back.
To be honest it is not easy for me to report about my Ineos positivly right now.
The lucky moments I had while I was sitting in it were almost gone and changed to waiting moments for a positiv call from the service.

I thought this thread was about a different subject! Does anyone make an underbody water mount? I'd love a reservoir/tank of some kind that I could mount somewhere underneath that holds a few gallons similar to what this guy did: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/water-storage-in-the-rear-bumper.34548/ I had the AEV water bumper kit in my jeep previously, and it was great for washing hands at the trailhead, etc. https://www.amazon.com/American-Expedition-Vehicles-Bumper-Water/dp/B08XY85ZF7?tag=globalgrena0b-20

I know theres plenty of options for water tanks on the roof, or outside of the vehicle, I'm looking for something more integrated that's hidden. suggestions welcome.

To be honest:
If You already found out, that this thread is about a different subjekt, why do You place a totally different matter here?
Or is it just to place some advertisment for Your company?

uhhh... no. I was posting here in case others were confused about the title also. There's general hesitation to start new threads because it creates too much discussion and becomes hard to search.

As a vendor on the forums, my signature banner is automatic on all my posts. That said, if there's not a underbody mount for a water tank, I'd explore making one if there is enough community interest.

My '24 Trialmaster exhibits the water-between-the-seals behaviour on the driver's side (right side) only. As far as I an tell, watre from the rook is running along the gutter and then down the A-post before making its way between the door and the A-post. I think the outer door seal that supposedly seals agains the A-post is allowing water through, then it runs down between the inner and outer seal and pools along the sill at the bottom, between the seals. I get more water ingress when the vehicle is parked in rain than driven in rain, which I think is because less water is coming forward along the gutter when driven, and also possibly the water from the gutter is being dispersed by the airflow rather than running down the A-post. Sometime when I am not using the car and expect heavy rain I will tape over the joint between the door and A-post to test my theory.

I have wondered why this happens only on the right side and not also the left, since the seals appear identical in positioning and fit, but I have the factory RAI on the driver's side, and it is possible that the brackets for this alter the way water flows down the A-post.

I don't think that the three notches in the lower seal are in any way an answer to the problem, the notches simply allow the water to escape rather than pool.

I intend to take this up with my dealer when the first service takes place but don't really expect a technical solution. I did mention it when I took the car in for the a/c to be regassed and the tech observed that the outer seal wasn't properly affixed to the door along the bottom edge, but he then found the same on the passenger (left) side. Since the bottom seal is clearly effective, evidenced by the reservoir of water that collects behind it, I think this is a red herring.

@Jeremy996 - did you ever find a solution to your water ingress? Does your replacement vehicle have the same issue? Did either or both have an RAI?

I’m blessed with the same issue but have been “upgraded” to notches in the seal to allow water evacuation. This is an ongoing but minor issue. Just wanted to say that I don’t believe the RAI has any impact whatsoever as mine was affected on the opposite side and NEVER on the RAI side.
Someone has mentioned previously that this is seemingly NOT a design issue but more of a manufacturing fault due to incorrectly applied seals. (Working elsewhere should support this theory)
I am inclined to agree now.
Good luck finding a solution 🤞🏽👍🏼
