New Year Service Overdue Bug

I raised a complaint with Ineos Customer services about his poor attitude.

I bet you did.

I haven’t spoken to them but I am 99.9% sure my local service agent (the excellent GL Marshall in Huntly) will do this for nothing if I pop in without an appointment - just because it’s good service.

Same problem here since yesterday morning…….

My nearest dealer has said that they will not reset my service interval, or at least they will but will charge £450.
Ineos Birmingham.
I suspect that they presently have no idea of the scale or nature of the problem and in due course will be directed by INEOS to do it regardless.

It is however a very disappointing attitude and completely at odds with the aspirations that Lynne Calder expressing her interview. I hope that someone at IA has a word with them. I also hope for a more customer-focussed response when I contact Compass Automotive with the same question!

Italy here:
Model 23
Service reset done on 21 Dec 25
on 1 Jan 25 Service overdue 1840 days

And yes coming back yesterday from the mountains the heater was really working for the first time - just too hot;-)

It looks like that they were trying to do some updates via LTE - in particular via the eCall system. However I think their SW release lifecycle is immature and I do not know why they were trying to update something via the air. Guessing the Grenadier SW is luckily not prepared for this. Anyway for me this is not a big issue. Still enjoying the car for 80k km.

And just to join the fun.... 2023 model. Next Service due in August.
Since this morning (didn't check yesterday)

2031 days Service overdue..... have to look where I place my flux capacitor and head back to 2020 for the service then.

My ecall is turned off because its faulty, waiting for the replacement. However, I also have the Service Reminder Bug. So, does not seem to be related...

Heater: Same here. The whole thing makes me think the weak heater performance is and was a software thing from the beginning, maybe masked a bit by frequent bleeding...

Try the front windscreen demist / max button - that was the only way I could get any heat from the system yesterday (and it was properly hot)

Ecall could be faulty but LTE is always on.

Got a reply from my dealer.... they had contacted INEOS and received the following message back :

Dear Partners,
First of all, let me wish you a happy new year.
I hope you had some relaxing, quiet days with your families and friends during Christmas and had a chance to reenergise.
We are aware that the new year has brought an error messages to many Grenadiers about an overdue service. Unless the car is actually late for its service, please ask your customers to ignore it.
We are working on a fix to remove the error message and will keep you informed.
Thanks very much.
Kind regards,

So I guess we just have to wait, but good that INEOS is already looking into it.

Has anyone reported the apparently related heater issue? It is probably more serious that the service reminder bug.
