I discovered a bear den last fall. I dropped a pin on it and reported it to research study the WI DNR are doing. They invited me along today to do the sedating, capture, radio collaring, ear tagging and a bunch of sampling. It was a sow with three cubs. A great day.

This moose came walking past our campsite last September in Wyoming. Pretty close. About 250ft / 76m away. Sloooowly walk past.

Last night around 8.30 which happens to be snakeo'clock at the chook pen, so here it is scaling the outside chicken wire wall. It will be relocated but just of late I have lost two birds to snakes of this size. They don't consume them because the birds are too large, so when I find the dead bird it has a wet head and neck because the snake could only ingest that far, then regurgitate it leaving it on the pen floor for me to find in the morning. The breed of birds is Old English Game and the pic is one of my bantam roosters that I breed. As you can see the snake has hold of me more than me of it.
