Hi Everyone. Just signed up. I am researching Grenadier for potential purchase in Queensland, Australia. I split my time between USA and Australia and keep homes in Queensland and California. I am looking at the wagon with diesel engine and I'm here to get educated about the strengths, limitations and issues with the vehicle, and to learn about the buying and service processes.

Welcome.. sounds like you need Diesel for AUS and Petro for USA… just a thought…..

There is an INEOS dealer in Cairns. Westco. My view is take one for a test drive when here, and see if it suits. Different drive from most SUV's. If the vehicle will be left for extended periods of time, you will need a battery tender.

Welcome aboard, these links are a useful place to start your search.

Plus some long terms reviews by Ronny Dahl, during his 10,000km test drive. INEOS ANZ lent him a diesel Grenadier for testing. He answers most of your questions. Ronny considers the Grenadier to be the best all round Offroader. I agree.

Yeah thanks for that. Will take one for a spin for sure. How do you like yours? How is it for grocery runs? And for adventures? We only keep one vehicle in Oz and spend 3 to 6 months a year there and the rest in the US.

Hey mate, I enjoy mine every time I drive it. We have 3 other cars, and this is the main go to vehicle for me. Originally purchased for a tow vehicle, as my 20 yo 110 Defender didn't perform very well. I have had the same engine, and drive train in 2 different BMW X5's with combined km's of over 500,000 k's. Not an issue with either of them. Have only done 5,000 km in the QM since November.
Parking can be challenging , but a bit of planning sorts most issues. Just fits under the Clifton Beach Coles, but don't park there, as the chance of ripping off the ariel is too high with all the pipe work under there.
Had a 79 series Land Cruiser to drive whilst working up the Cape. My Defender was more comfortable than it was, however the Cruiser was very loaded. The QM is 100% more comfortable than the Defender ever was. SWMBO also loves riding in it, which means I can take the van and head further bush than before. Win Win for both of us.
Get in touch when in town for a catch up.
Cheers,
Ken

Cheers Ken thanks for sharing. This detuned version of the B57 should be rock solid and hopefully go forever. Want to keep this vehicle for a long time. Great to know it fits under Clifton Coles. I was wondering about that. Coles is 2.1m (allegedly) so I figured it would. Maybe not with a roof rack. Will definitely get in touch when I'm back in a few months.
