Good morning !
Did anyone overcome the dramatically poor sound quality of the hands free Bluetooth system ?
Is it possible to upgrade the microphone ?
Does Someone has a fix ?

I do as well, intermittently. It’s very odd. Usually if I hang up and restart the call it’s better the second try. Haven’t been able to correlate it with anything else unfortunately.

I have been told by callers that it’s poor too. I think that the mic is in the ceiling? I think turning the airflow off the windscreen helps a little…

My sound quality used to be poor, well for the person at the other end as I could always hear clearly.
Whatever they have done regards updates/ service campaigns when it’s been in for a service I don’t know, but it works well now and clear both ends of the line.

Hmmm. I thought I was up to date.. I’ll ask the dealer.

So my vehicle has been in twice to fix this issue, I can hear the person I call no problem, however the poor person on the other phone states that I sound like on the moon or in a aircraft so much background noise, nothing is on in the car heater fan etc all windows and sunroofs closed its terrible. Had software reloaded and also a new microphone installed. I have tried 2 different phones IPHONE 15 and I phone 14 its just awful

I have that problem, on Android. But it is only intermittent, sometimes it works great. I appear to have great transmission in 5G areas, but then starts to suffer as 4G tails off. And in rural Scotland that can be quite frequently

For me the mic problem is related to speed. If I'm sitting / idling, audio is great listening and talking. But once I get some speed / movement, the talking audio goes to pot. To me it seems that it's capturing vehicle vibrations and road noise.

I noticed if I am connect via Android auto that its fine but when not using that it seems to cut in and out for the person listening too me.

On the phone to my wife today using wireless carplay and she said the audio was awful. I had the sunroof open and she said it improved whilst it was closed. But then it got better still as I slowed to a stop. The sunroof does allow in a bit of noise even when closed.

I have the same issue but only when on apple airplay and not when just Bluetooth connected.

Makes no difference, can be stationery and still get complaints

Hi.

I have a grenadier since May. I absolutely love everything about the vehicle except the terrible Bluetooth. People I call hear a lot of feedback and noise and it's pretty useable.
I have discussed this issue with our Irish dealer Orangeworks Automotive. Kenny, the service manager told me that they have a in house fix that he reckons brings the quality from 20 percent to 80 percent.
It went in for a 20 k service last week and they also looked at the Bluetooth.
It is perfect now! They did a fantastic job. All on their own bat with no warranty support. Why are ineos not supporting this work? There was a lot of work insulating the microphone and connecting wires. The car which went in pretty muddy with a lot of dust inside came back serviced, cleaned with a fixed Bluetooth at what I think is a reasonable price.
I can not recommend our Irish dealership and their support highly enough. They really know the vehicle and are very helpful from purchase to service.
The saying that the salesman sells the first car and the service manager sells the next one applies to them.

Sounds a great place to get a service. Can you explain exactly what they did to the microphone to make it clearer at the other end of the call.
