Anyone having issue connecting to Apple CarPlay? Recently updated iPhone iOS and sometime soon after my phone will not connect to the truck. Deleted phone and reinstalled several times to no avail. Any suggestions?
Thread 'Anyone instal the underset Agile twin ARB? Wiring issue'
Of course it’s 4pm on a Saturday and I get most of the way through the instal of the brushless ARB Twin with the Agile kit. The online video is interesting, but not a standard IG (1924) and the install video is for the brushed version. Not a major issue, they have a brushless there. The issue I’m having getting the wires into something other than a spaghetti mess under the seat. The routing to the back is pretty clear, but the underseat area is what I’m struggling with. The online...
2 interesting issues this week. First one, parked car for a couple of hours after a 100km drive. Came back and attempted to start, on first attempt sounded like the starter git stuck and ran for a few seconds after I let the key go and then nothing the car didn’t start. Then it would crank healthily but no start on multiple attempts. Tried locking the car and unlocking a few times and no dice. Eventually locked walker away and waited about 15 minutes and then unlocked and it started...
Has anyone experienced the “Trailer Light Error” constantly when NOT towing any trailer ? I do tow a caravan frequently which I connect to the car using a 13pin to 12pin adaptor (to suit Aussie 12p setup). All works well when towing, all lights on the car and on the caravan work as expected with no errors. And for the first couple of months after we started towing, the car would also behave as expected whether towing or not. However, over the past month, the car now continually throws...
Hi All, In short, factory dual battery system is problematic. So I am leaving as factory for a simple dual crank set up (not using EXT at all) and installing an independent house battery (LiPo) with a DC-DC charger (smart alternator ready 3 wire) includes MPPT input. The new system will sit in my canopy, not the cabin (Quartermaster) with alternator charge supply coming from rear seat, via factory rubber boot exit. I am curious, for anyone else adding a DC-DC charger, where are you...
Hi On the screen, flat and level ground, the off road screen shows the vehicle at a 26 degree angle. Is there a way to reset/calibrate this? I know it's flat because I live in Lincolnshire 2023 Fieldmaster.
I have tried to search and came across several mentions, but nothing that was exactly answering my question - so please forgive me if my searching ability sucks, and its been answered. I was playing with some exterior lights and have them wired up to EXT 3, well something must have been wired wrong and Pop..... lights went out after about 2 seconds. So nautrally im assuming the fuse blew. I know the fuse is under the rear seat - but I have no idea which one! Is anyone able to tell...
When I go to start the vehicle there is a giant ERROR flashing on the infotainment screen. I navigate to the battery, and it says 0%. I have headlights etc. I drove the vehicle 4 days ago. Is it possible that there is a bad fuse someplace that is killing the process to read the battery? I am reaching here but I can't figure out how I could go from changed to dead so fast.
Thread 'Does your Grenadier have a “Mute Gremlin?”'
I’d love for people to run this experiment and report back what happens. Here’s the scenario: Set your audio to the FM radio, and tune to a station that you would normally listen to. Press the MUTE button at the center bottom of your infotainment controls. Keep driving for a while. Ideally, hit some potholes or bumps, but not required. Observe whether your audio stays muted, and if not, how long does it take to unmute without you specifically unmuting it? My mute button works, but after...
While I am talking over the phone I often have the following problem. After some minutes (probably 5-10) the speakers stop working. The microphone still works and the phone line as well. As soon as I realise it I have to switch the phone from CarPlay to “phones speaker”. Than I can hear the other person again. I am using an older IPhone with the newest iOS version. The problem occurs for more than a year. Probably it has always been there and I misunderstood it for a bad signal for years…...
Read today that video might arrive on our Grenadier screens: https://www.macrumors.com/2026/02/18/ios-26-4-major-new-carplay-feature-revealed/?link_source=ta_first_comment&taid=6995f75edc2e8400013c473f&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwdGRjcAQC6VpleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZA8xNzM4NDc2NDI2NzAzNzAAAR7gr1LvJ6rB4hXBTVoIlHY78BMS8JZSQwJ3VIs5WKe6Ta75vqK7ZASDDnoL7g_aem_Hep7FPFthBRv8f1-Lo8MVQ
For the third time today, I had had to make a journey without heated seats - everyone of the three times this has happened, the HVAC has also failed to product heat in the cab. The first time it happened was early Jan, outside temp was under freezing and I thought it was just a passing thing as it worked ok for a few days following. Then in the last week, twice I have had the same problem. Each time the HVAC has failed as well and while the seat heating light comes on, it's done nothing...
Thread 'Quartermaster- power exiting cab through factory rubber boot ?'
Howdy all, Currently finalising canopy build, and one of my last pieces is to run power to the DCDC charger in my canopy. On the quarter master I can see what looks to be a factory built rubber boot on the back of the cab on the right hand side. From what I understand this is the best place to run a weatherproof cable. Looking inside it appears Ineos have done a great job with properly sealing this off (inside looks like a drill through job). Has anyone drilled through this already and if...
Has anyone mounted the Wolfbox front bumper camera in a location OTHER THAN the front grill? Been thinking if there’s a spot under the vehicle that can give the user a view of the tires that isn’t susceptible to being ripped off. Maybe above the cross member beneath the transmission pan? Any ideas on best path for wiring?
Thread 'Wires under back seat'
I am planning out an install for a lithium house battery under my backseat and I noticed several white capped wires attached to a wire harness (see pictures). Does anyone know what these are for?
My USB and C outlet inside console not powering up ( key on or off ). Fuse is OK and the rear seat is ok. Are these switched or just possibly disconnected?
Just went through a car wash and now have the check engine light on and the transmission error message that keeps popping up. Any idea how to resolve this?
Installing a Wolfbox Tripro G900 in a US 2025 QM with the dual battery set-up, but having difficulty locating the reverse lighting wire which (when powered) activates the reverse functionality of the rear camera. Anyone know where the location is of this mystery wire? I looks like it may be a pink/purple wire, coming into the rear underseat area, but I’m not 100% sure. I’d rather not disassemble the entire rear section prior to know the general location. For obvious reasons, I’d like to...
Thread 'Stuck at Cape York (Double cardan joint in the front axle failed.)'
Posting this on behalf of CK Barr from the Australia Facebook group. Details here 👉https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14GA15TBpwk/? Double cardan joint in the front axle failed. If anyone is able to help I think he’d appreciate it. He’s got two kids with him. Needs parts sent to Bamaga in Australia. This could also be a good time to deploy the flying spanners service surely? Or perhaps Justin can help. We’re a bit remote ourselves at the moment and so I thought I’d put this in here and let...
After hearing the driveshaft horror stories, I populated my Gren's toolbox with an IR gun. The CV joints at either driveshaft didn't reveal anything out of ordinary. Last Saturday I had several extended SoCal highway runs - with air temperature around 75F and typical I-5 speeds. I got under and hit the centers of the diff covers with the IR gun: the front read between 50 and 55C (122-131F), but the rear - 80 to 83C (176-181F). None are a cause for any concern, but a 30C (55F) difference is...
