Thread 'Relocate factory "subwoofer" to udner drvier seat.'
The factory subwoofer is attached to a steel bracker that effectively takes up the entire space under the right rear passenger seat. That prevents installing a second battery, a compressor or in my case a small subwoofer enclosure. After removing the JBL Nano and the bracket it was attached to, I had the entire space to use under the seat. I bought a new wire harness for the JBL Nano off of amazon to make reinstalling it easier and ran wires from the original harness to under the driver...
Has anyone else experienced a few second delay on their phone calls when connected wirelessly through CarPlay? It briefly corrected itself when I updated the iOS software on my phone but has returned. I was talking to my buddy the other day while he was driving his Grenny and we realized that he has the same issue when we kept talking over one another lol. Anyone else? If so, any remedies that have worked?
I was going through the process of bleeding my HVAC coolant. I followed all of the instructions precisely. When I depress the accelerator for 10 seconds, the car enters Service Mode. As soon as I start the engine it says Service Mode Cancelled. This is a cold start so temps are cold. I have tied multiple times. Any suggestions?
I've already read through multiple threads on people adding different subwoofers, but relocating them in various places throughout the Gren. Im just interested in purchasing the JBL Nano that comes standard with the "Premium" sound system....and hopefully plug and play and be done with it Is it as easy as flipping up the rear seat and plugging it in - I dont have the extra battery situation....so will it just slide in and sit under the seat....or do I actually have to figure out a way to...
For background I am referring to the off-road lights that are in the front of the truck and are activated by being in off road mode and having the high beams in addition to the switch. I have seen many threads about those off road lights and replacing them and using one of the EXT wires in the hood area. I would rather use the existing wiring and find a way to bypass the nanny features. Otherwise you are have that switch and the wiring not being used. Where is the relay that controls...
Thread 'Brake Controller Trigger Wire?'
I've read tons of threads here and the violet/orange wire in the trailer controller bundle under the second row passenger seat seems to have been unreliable. Is anything better with the most recent software updates? Fwiw, I took delivery in July 2025 with the latest software updates. I'm working on installing a Redarc TowPro Elite (which I've done on several other vehicles- all Toyotas), and found a super useful thread for all wires except the brake signal (Redarc blue) wire. Redarc wire...
Thread 'Installing a house battery'
I am about to install a house battery in my Grenadier. While I ordered the high power auxiliary prewiring, I did not opt for a secondary battery or a CTEK charger. So I have a blank canvas to work on. My house battery system: - 175Ah LifePo4 - RedArc 50A DCDC charger with solar input - Planned Loads: - Fridge, EXT Roof Lights, interior 1 & 2 sockets, interior A + B factory plugs and other interior charge points like USB C, USB A, Cig lighter socket, etc … I have the following: 7...
PART 1- THE POSSIBLE CAUSES - this post PART 2 - WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT - next post PART 3 - FURTHER CHECKS - look here PART 1- THE POSSIBLE CAUSES I am writing a checklist for owners to work through if your battery is going flat quickly. Understanding how the INEOS works is useful to work out if there is a problem or just the way your setup is working. All modern 4X4s make BIG power demands on the battery. The INEOS is close to what I experienced with the much older Nissan Patrol over...
Hi, Im Randal in Nashville, TN. I have a 2024 ineos grenadeir trial master. I keep having a message that my rear doors are not closed. I get constant dings and noises that prevent my wife from even riding in my vehicle. It also seems to be draining my battery. I have adjusted both doors as muck as I can. Should I modify the stops to allow the doors to close tighter? My dealership in Nashville is absolutely no help and refuse to even acknowledge the problem. thanks for any help. R WW
I just got the latest software update for my 2024 to finally eliminate the annoying speed nag, but unfortunately it has caused Android Auto to no longer work. I spent a few hours last night doing all the usual stuff -clearing cache, clearing data, restarting phone, resetting comm setting on ineos, unpairing, deleting, hard reset ineos, install beta version of android auto on the samsung fold 7 and nothing will get Android auto to start. The phone does connect via bluetooth and the Ineos...
I am using the fuse tap to power my Wolfbox digital rear mirror. Currently it piggybacks on the FC21 "12v outlet" fuse in the fuse box close to the steering wheel. A common installation I guess. I'd like to change that and need your help with it. What I don't like is that the mirror powers on when the overhead power switch is turned on and the car is off. I want the wolfbox just to start when ignition is on. No matter about the pwr switch. Which spot in the fusebox should i use instead...
has anyone installed an defa electrical heater? how did you run the cables for the interior heater?
Thread 'Upgraded the stereo in 3 phases: sharing what I have learned and completed.'
I picked up my Trialmaster this past July and could not be happier with it. With that being said I have been tweaking and improving this thing constantly, most notably is the stereo performance. I fully admit its a truck that I take offroad and beat on and that an audiophile quality stereo is a bit mad. My journey will be broken down into 3 phases: Better Bass & sound deadening Upgraded speakers Amps & wiring I started with Bass as I did not purchased the factory JBL option. Instead I...
Thread 'AO now offers Jumper Cables with 50 mm² NATO Plug'
Just wanted to highlight that AO now offers a Jumper Cable with NATO plug to make use of our NATO connector. Got mine delivered today, cool stuff!
In 2.5 years this is the second time I have this problem. We travel every year for about six months. We are in Malta right now. No dealers or servicepoints. I have a freezer in the back to keep yhe food for the dogs. The freezer is on the secondary battery. Since a few days the primary battery runs empty over night. From 74% to 48% last night. During travel it charges again but no more than 75%. First time I had the problem is not more than 1 tear ago. They changed the battery. But the...
Hello everyone, my Grenadier was once again at the service partner. The gearbox is leaking and the air conditioning is still a joke. The topic of the heating is already discussed in another thread, so that is not my point here. Starting from fan level four, I get an almost unbearable high-pitched whirring noise. Up to level three the fans sound like normal fans. From level four onwards, an additional shrill whirring appears. Here is a video of the noise and the difference between level 3...
Hi all. I have a LHD in the USA. I have lights and a radio antenna mounted on my bull bar. The antenna needs to be wired into the radio in the cab. The lights are going to the ext 5 wires under the hood. Any advice on how to run these wires? I’m concerned about their proximity to the radiator. I’m also not sure how to run the antenna wire through the firewall. I’d appreciate any help or advice.
I have a Fieldmaster with Ctek 120s and D240se with a lithium Lifepo4 battery 300A as second battery. The duel battery system was set up at factory and I only replaced the original FEB battery with the lithium. This year I travelled through Simpson Desert and Around Alice Springs. The second battery was charged so well and there was no shortage of power for my rice cooker, induction cooker and water kettle. I did not see this error code when travelling. However, I have not driven the...
Thread 'Light mount for full Rhino Rack'
What have those with the full length Rhino Rack used to mount lights at the front of the vehicle? I do not want a light bar - I want old school round lights - think OG Camel Trophy truck look. Anyone have a setup like this?
Thread 'USB install in front of shifter'
One of the misses on the Gren for me is the lack of USB ports on the center stack. I had seen lots of units let into the panel either side of the stack but think they may be a little vulnerable to knees etc. I decided to take a look at the tray in front of the shifter and this is the result. I bought the units from Amazon. I put this up on Facebook and was asked to detail the process, so here we go. 1. Remove the rubber mat from the tray, it just pops up 2. Remove 16 Allen head bolts from...
