the last days I got a yellow warning "socket switch-off". Within the description in the menu it said that the high-voltage socket (I guess the NATO socket) had been switched of. The warning always disappeared after some minutes for good. It happened while while starting the car or during driving it. Which is funny as I thought that the socket would be switched off during driving anyway. Is there someone out there who had this error as well? Regards bemax
Thread 'Reading Wiring Diagram'
I'm trying to decipher the wiring diagrams. I've read a lot of Toyota diagrams and they are clear to me, but can't understand the Ineos nomenclature/markings. I'm looking for notation of connector (where applicable), connector location (usually in a different diagram) pin number (where applicable), and wire color (primary/tracer, where applicable). Can anyone provide guidance on how to read the shorthand below. Oh, why... general knowledge, but in the immediate term, I am trying to trace...
Hello Folks, may be it is, why I'm getting old and my eyes aregetting bad. I have problems to read the little signs that discribe the switches in the roof panel with or without glases. I was thinking about, if it might be possible to print tiny bars in a triangle shape, to glue on the panel. Then to print new little signs, to put on that bar, that the signs are better readable because they are fixed more or less perpendicular. Regards sauerländer
Does anyone have a good list of software versions, and what cars they apply to ? My Petrol fieldmaster has 690002070 .. is that then newer than the 689002940 ?
Hello all! First post! USA here and have owned my Scottish white trialmaster for about a month now. I seem to remember the manual specifying that the head unit supported FLAC for the USB audio device, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the music to show up or be playable. Is there a specific folder structure that is required for the music to be recognized?
I am trying to wire up the Triple R 7" Sentinels and want to use EXT1 for the relay switch (purple wire) but have the elites and want to hook the green wire (running lights) up to ignition power. The wiring harness has them tied together all the way up to the EXT1 wire.... but it doesn't seem like it is supposed to be run through the firewall to the fuse box. For people that have wired these up to the overhead switch.... how have you hooked up the green and purple wires?
Morning all, Can someone smarter than me please explain what I’m doing wrong or point me in the right direction with regards to kit to order. I’m trying to use drivers side auxiliary outlet as phone charger. Current setup which doesn’t work: - 12V 10A supply via INT2 switch -> DCDC converter (down to 5V3A) -> USB C adaptor -> USB C Cable up to wireless charger on dashboard. If I use the 12v on the cigarette adaptor they provided it works and measuring the voltage shows I have 5V DC out of...
Thread 'Tow bar wiring'
Afternoon guys I have 2024 MY Station Wagon. This came without a towbar. A quick investigation behindcthecolastic plate on the rear revealed a trailer plug socket. A bit more investigation showed that this socket also has wiring loom connected to it. So, I asked thec dealer here in Spain where I live for a quote to install the necessary. His quote came back at around 1500 euros. I asked for breakdown of this and noted that in the list there were some parts on the list that were clearly...
I am in the middle of putting my National Luna fridge into the ineos for an event. The fridge uses a powerlet plug. I have a female powerlet outlet from a prior project that I plan to install on the driver side of the cargo area. Any tips on how to wire it? Do I just grab power from the cigar plug, and ground to the chassis? What conditions allow power to the stock cigar outlet? Is it constant power? Ignition switched? Some set of switches and driving conditions?
Thread 'rear wiper motor wiring diagram'
I’m trying to install a rearview cam. I’ve got the wiring ran to the back and need a constant power source for the backup cam. the wire from the cam isn’t long enough to reach the brake light wires, but it will reach the rear wiper motor wires. there are 4, and i’m assuming the Red wire is 12V power that i need. My question is, will that be a constant when the key is in the ignition and on or will it only run power when the switch is on for the motor? Haven’t gotten my access to the...
For the life of me, I can't locate the INT1 wires in the LH foot well. I removed the plastic cover and am unable to see them. Apparently they are taped to a wire loom but I'm afraid to cut the wire loom I see. Any advice?
Two questions 1- is it possible to add ext 2-5 after market 2- if i don’t have the switches above on the console is it pre wired to the locations it would be for ext2-5 or would i need to run the wires there as well? i’d like to add some lights and thought i had roof access points but have discovered that my only access points are in the front interior and under the hood.
I looked through previous threads on remote starters and it looks like there was no solution as of a year ago. In Chicago we have unseasonably cold weather descending onto us - ugh! Has anyone had any luck with a remote start option? Drone? Thank you!
Thread 'Washer fluid level low annoyance'
Since the day picked up my vehicle, I have been experiencing washer fluid level, warning lights. I have topped off the tank. I have spoken to the dealer about the light. It comes on and off whenever it feels like it. The tank is full, the ignition has run through multiple cycles, but the light persists. Is anybody else having problems? I have not brought it in for service yet as the dealer is not nearby.
Lost power to aux high load switches ? Added some Baja designs lights to 25amp factory location under hood. They worked for a few days and then lost power. Also lost power to most aux switches (winch, roof taps, under hood power taps) I have checked all fuses that are related to that system and they are all good ? Any ideas ?
Hey all, I want to wire a lightbar on the roof rack the following: Input A) EXT switch 40A under the hood Input B) high beam activate If input A is active and B is activated it switches over. If Input B is off A works and if Input A is off Input B still works. Thats the easy part. The switchting is easy with 2 relias and getting the wire up to the roof along the snorkel but there are still two open points: A) Where to grab the high beam signal under the hood? B) Where to get clean 12V...
I'm working on installing my winch and I want to disconnect all power. I have the dual battery system and disconnect it apparently the auxiliary battery positive terminal but I still have power on the positive terminal in the engine bay. Is there an easy way to disconnect all power to the vehicle? I looked underneath the rear seat and there's just too many wires for me to make sense which one I should disconnect.
I feel like I’m finally getting close to having all my Grenadier issues sorted out. The last thing, other than crazy HVAC, is an AEB error that I’ve had since owning it. It happens when I’m at a stop and go to accelerate. If the truck rolls back at all, the AEB warning gets thrown. Has anyone else experienced this? I was hoping the software update would fix this but it’s still happening.
EDIT: a revised up to date description of the fues can be found here. Can someone tell me the type of fuse used on the INEOS. Looking at pictures I would guess either a Micro2 Fuse or Micro3 Fuse, but that is just a guess.
Thread 'Right Hand side auxiliary footwell 12V wire'
Today I tested electrically the right side footwell auxiliary potential power point, and indeed: 12V, with PWR on and INT2 on on the "aviation" roof switch panel. Some pictures: Then I removed the tape around the wire, did cut the top of the transparent plastic protection hose of the wire, inserted some surgery needles in the top of the wire to have a metal contact (electrical contact), and connected a multimeter to the needles, with the negative to the black wire and the positive to the...
