Secret waterreservoir?

If it's not the windscreen, nor the door seals and you don't have the safari windows, does that just leave the air box/ cabin filter for the HVAC??
Don't forget the Satellites module on the front portion of the roof. You could get leaking through there.

Definitely check the cabin air filter housing/system as this was the issue with mine which caused water pooling in the passenger side footwell. (RHD version)
Good luck 👍🏼

Yes, that's why I included that when hosing the windscreen. But you would expect that to be visible on the headliner. But there again, it's not the fixing of the leak, it's finding the damn thing.

Well it’s raining here now both inside and out, it’s definitely the cabin air inlet/filter housing. They have had it out twice at the dealership and I’m fairly certain they did something wrong. I’d upload the video but it says to large a file.

I had water pooling in the floor and the sills, which all related to the door seals and the unexpected foot wash. The water trapped between the inner and outer door seal was slowly trickling into the sill, where it was not emptied until the bungs were pulled out.

There are older posts on here that outlined my issues, (door seals and air conditioning pipes), and the solutions.
You are talking about the foot wash when opening the door?
I have the same problem after washing the car and after leaving it in the rain.
Only on the right hand. I had water in the right side of the frame too (Video).
I'm wondering if the water in the frame comes from the water between the seals of the door?
Is there any connection between the gap under the door to the frame and the inner side of the frame allowing the water ingress?

May be somebody knows....

Regards Sauerländer

No we’re talking about actual water infiltration under the mats. Water coming in under the dashboard

For my car, (the original one), the water trapped between the door deals trickled into the driver's sill, through the tread mounts.

I can not find any holes in the door seals!🥸 Can You provide pictures?

What I found is a waterline from the dammed water.
My thesis is, that the water will drains into the frame when it rises e.g. as high as the hinges of the doors are.

Regards

You should have 3 of these in the door seal. My was built 10/23 and had them factory fitted. You must be one of the last build with the old seals.

In my view, this does not eliminate the cause. At that time, I also had water in the door frame, which ran out like a waterfall after opening. My dealer said at the time that there was a recall campaign in which these semicircles were punched out of the seals. I told him to just keep his hands off it. I'll take care of it myself. I put the door seals in the right position myself with 3 M adhesive tape. Since then, I've never had any problems with water collecting.
