New Year Service Overdue Bug

I have been told by a dealer that the Y2K service overdue bug is going to be fixed “over the air” remotely by using the e-Call cellular unit to take incoming data to fix software patches remotely similarly to Tesla et al.

Is this the case? Has anyone else heard of this????
I thought the eCall system was operated by an outsourced call centre 📞 that also serves other manufacturers. I would find that unlikely since the Grenadier doesn't have OTA capability, ( but technically possible??? I doubt and what cost). I also thought the Tesla and the other " et als" had OTA capability and don't use the eCall system for data transfer

Hi from Italy. Yes heard this as well after some days from my service manager. I only cannot imagine how this should works. Plus some of us has some heating issues - my car is now heating like a Finnish Sauna where my Finnish fiend’s Grenadier does not heat at all after 1 January.

Don't think Aussie ones have e call.
Some of us don't even have dealers!
Ah well, no big deal.
