New Year Service Overdue Bug

1927 for me

A good friend yesterday rang me to tell me their Tesla had a special NY light and sounds function just delivered to their vehicle.

I rang them this morning to say that Ineos also has delivered a NY light and sound function, but it goes Bong and you can’t turn it off.

Yup, we are the same. 1906 for us.

G.

2044 here.

Also Android Auto error.

My date was showing 01 01 2016.

Manually changing the year sorted Android Auto, not the service reminder.

I have driven my Ineos 2 times today, and all normal, so it is not affecting everyone.
I almost feel I am missing out.
I feel like that also, I'm in between vehicles and hopefully my new Quartermaster won't have the issue when it turns up in a week or 2

It appears that the bug resides in the customized vehicle integration layer, not in the Neusoft base software, and requires an INEOS firmware patch to update the VIN- and region-specific service interval calculations and reminder logic, to be deployed via dealer. Mechanically, however, the Grenadier may well be the best car I have ever owned, so I’m not particularly bothered by some merely annoying software glitch…

We should all coordinate our calls to Ineos HQ's and service departments to see what there reaction & response is lol.
Do we know if any Ineos staff are members of forums?

I would have thought the bug was caused by the Neusoft software incorrectly changing the date?

Agreed that the dealer tool is required to reset.

My local bloke in Brisbane is booked solid through March for a service slot. He's a generally affable chap with a high tolerance for absorbing unwarranted crap from demanding customers.... the last thing he needs now is a procession of frustrated customers requiring a firmware update...
it's time for a reasonably priced diagnostic tool to be given priority for release to the said frustrated owners. (Insert GIF of pigs with wings)

Thought I'd check... (dear one rolling her eyes as to why I'd go and sit in my Grenadier late at night to cycle the ignition... told her it's in aid of an international citizens' science project )

My local dealer has an online booking form - just booked it in for a service reset next week. Interesting to see what happens when they are back to work!

I have reset my current date back to 31/12/25, now waiting 30mins and will see what happens. If this works I will then reset the date back to 1/1/26 manually avoiding the automatic tick over of midnight. If the current test (to be checked after 30mins fails) I will set the date back a couple of days and let it midnight tick over to a new day in 2025 to see if the service interval bug clears and if so then perform a manual date reste to the current day in 2026. My major concern is that this must a bug in the library of functions used for the firmware as there is no need to have different code for calculating the service due date after a year tick over - my service due date has calculated correctly for the last couple of years. The firmware must have code that resets at midnight that has corrupted a system date which has then defaulted to a manufacture date.
Try setting it to Nov. 5, 1955. Hit 88 mph on the highway and see if that rolls it back.

Date and time correct on mine but in 3-1/2hrs I’ve now gained another overdue day on my service At 0859 hrs I had 2050hrs overdue. Now I have 2051. I think the race is on 💪🏼😂
