I have been trying to get both my Google and/or Apple Maps to be more audible while driving using CarPlay. I have adjusted every CarPlay and Ineos Audio Setting and experimented with all of them ad nauseam but to no avail.
I UNDERSTAND that the instructions voice can ONLY be adjusted when the Map voice is speaking, but when up full, on volume 14, it's still far too quiet to hear wheel driving. Once up to highway speed with
road and wind noise, windows CLOSED, it really can't be heard too well.
I also have the music set to DIM when the voice is speaking, the adjustment for that is clear, mine is set to the Maximum minimization, basically the music is fully muted to off, but still the voice is too quiet to be helpful.
When stopped and sitting, the Voice volume is fine but NOT at highway speed when you NEED it most.
Oddly, the notifications for a Text Message coming in or other alerts are FAR louder. I have also experimented to find a Volume setting adjustment for CarPlay notifications on my iPhone but there are none I find.

ANYONE else experiencing this or found any workaround?

Yes, this is a common CarPlay problem.

The fix is to adjust the volume while the navigation voice is actually speaking.
When you hear the map directions, turn the car's physical volume knob up. This sets the volume specifically for the navigation prompts.

Doing it at any other time just controls the music volume. You have to catch it while the voice is talking.

Thank you, but as I have already stated, when the voice is SPEAKING and adjusted to the maximum volume, it is far from audible when driving at Highway speeds.
