Map Instructions can NOT be heard

I have been trying to get both my Google and/or Apple Maps to be more audible while driving using CarPlay. I have adjusted every CarPlay and Ineos Audio Setting and experimented with all of them ad nauseam but to no avail.
I UNDERSTAND that the instructions voice can ONLY be adjusted when the Map voice is speaking, but when up full, on volume 14, it's still far too quiet to hear wheel driving. Once up to highway speed with
road and wind noise, windows CLOSED, it really can't be heard too well.
I also have the music set to DIM when the voice is speaking, the adjustment for that is clear, mine is set to the Maximum minimization, basically the music is fully muted to off, but still the voice is too quiet to be helpful.
When stopped and sitting, the Voice volume is fine but NOT at highway speed when you NEED it most.
Oddly, the notifications for a Text Message coming in or other alerts are FAR louder. I have also experimented to find a Volume setting adjustment for CarPlay notifications on my iPhone but there are none I can find.

ANYONE else experiencing this or found any workaround?

Yes, this is a common CarPlay problem.

The fix is to adjust the volume while the navigation voice is actually speaking.
When you hear the map directions, turn the car's physical volume knob up. This sets the volume specifically for the navigation prompts.

Doing it at any other time just controls the music volume. You have to catch it while the voice is talking.

Thank you, but as I have already stated, when the voice is SPEAKING and adjusted to the maximum volume, it is far from audible when driving at Highway speeds.

There's not much you haven't already tried 🤔.
Something you didn't mention: Have you tried bumping up your phone volume while the nav voice is playing?

Thanks for the idea, but Yes, I have already tried that too. I am wondering, has anyone else had the same experience or are using driving Maps in their Grenadier?
I am curious about Your experiences with the Volume.

Go into settings for the AV, (As if you haven't got CarPlay connected). Check out the various audio volume options / settings for when vehicle is in motion. IIRC there's a setting which automatically raises the volume depending on the speed of the vehicle

Thanks for your reply. I have experimented heavily with the Speed/Volume adjustment, as well as all of the other Audio options, and even when the Speed/Volume setting is set to all the way UP, the Map Voice is not loud enough.

I am curious, is ANYONE else who Uses this feature having the same experience as I have?

I am presuming that you have an iPhone, and as I am an android user the rest of my post is probably totally irrelevant to you. In your phone, in settings there is an option for sound. There is ( in android) an option called " system sound". Overseeing the sub options is " sound system volume" have you tried turning that up to see if that increases the navigation sound in the Grenadier as it is derived from the phone maps system software

I'm an android user, fwiw my navigation audio volume is perfectly okay and about the same as any other vehicle i connect to.

Have you tried with someone elses phone to rule out that there isn't an issue with your phone settings?

Thanks for your reply, yes I am an iPhone user and assume we have different menus and control settings, but it's worth a look for me to explore my phone settings further as
I have gone as far as I can with the Grenadier settings.

Thanks, as of yet, I haven't had another iPhone to test with but it's a good suggestion.

I have just checked in Google maps and there are 3 settings for the volume. Soft, Normal and Loud. Try increasing it in there.

Great, I haven't found that exact adjustment before, but perhaps that is the answer. I was trying to work all this out whilst on a recent long road trip and
was limited in my abilities to investigate while I was on the road and driving.
I plan to dig into this later today.
I wil post my findings once I can test it again. Thank You!

It's buried in settings circle in the initial search bar, then sub menu " settings " and then " navigation "

Mine just started doing something similar after the last Apple update - was always fine before hand.

Thanks for the tips here, some things for me to try too.
