What triggers it to come on when you open a door and the interior lights turn on? When you turn on the instrument lights? Would hate to have it on during daylight hours all the time.

Not sure what fuse that is.

Looks like it pigtails into fuse FC01 which shows as a "Reserved" fuse location. Without putting a meter on it curious if that fuse location is 12V ignition on or off? If it's 12V ignition on then the light won't be on until after you've already inserted the key?

It illuminates on door opening and stays illuminated while vehicle is on.

I've got this one, very happy with it and the install was incredibly easy compared to the Agile option.

Anyone know of a fuse that comes on with door open but turns off with ignition?

Someone metioned the footwell lights may do that but perhaps that's canbus controlled?

Actually, I emailed them asking them why it had not shipped yet. LOL.

I've only had it installed for a few days, but as of now I have not gotten any error messages from having it tied into the footwell light. I will say that it is EXTREMELY FRAGILE. I dropped it onto the workbench from at most twelve inches and it broke in half. After fixing that I continued to rewire and install the plugs to accept the footwell light.

Thank you for sharing the information. It is my intention to wire it to the foot well light as well. No need to have it on all the time. It appears you added a couple of connectors for a clean install. Care to share which ones they are?

After I glued it back together it went pretty smooth

Installed mine. Used the suggested 5a fuse. Light is on when you unlock the door and while vehicle is on. Upon shutting down vehicle and locking, it goes out when the screen goes out.

Only thing I see is that the direct of the fuse tap in the instructions might be backwards, in other words one should ensure the fuse tap wire goes right ( verify which side is hot). Doing this, the amount of slack they give you is tight but barely works. An extra inch or two of wire would have been much appreciated.

All in all, it’s an amazing mod that looks great. Should have come from factory like this. If anyone knows of a better power location please list it here.
