No one's energy policy is as stupid as ours. In the UK we have between 3 and 7 billion barrels of oil under the ground / sea, we also have enough gas (if we frack) to last us 25 years. But our idiotic government would rather import it all instead. (which creates way more CO2) We have the highest electricity prices in the developed world..(which has destroyed our heavy industry)

Our government won't be happy until we are clubbing each other to death as we fight over the last potato.
That’s exactly what it feels like here in California

Even more stupid when you look at the amount of our emissions compared to the total world's output. We will be living in stone age caves saying we have achieved net zero, we are green; whilst achieving 0.06% saving on the rest of the world 🌎 emissions who are living a normal happy life.

I went from a 2005 V8 Dodge Dakota with 33" NITTO Grapplers to the 6cyl Quartermaster, honestly my fuel consumption is the same, and just like always I just refer to the truck as "The Pig" I run premium in everything, including my lawn mower. $5 a gallon slows down my grass cutting

Get a cow. Milk is about to go up 30cpl because of the shit going down.
i'm lactose intolerant, but I do have a few ducks that produce eggs. My wife owns a Kia Sportage hybrid that gets about 30 miles to the gallon, I'm retired and drive my POV less than 5k miles a year.

Three weeks ago I would have never believed those would be really cheap prices. $6.00 diesel here now.

That Australian figure does not look correct for a gallon of fuel. Maybe the AUD is weaker than I thought!

I think the rate is excise of 53 cents a litre, plus 10% GCT on the total amount. Yes they charge the GST on the excise, so a tax on a tax. Just legislated theft.

Source says 2018, so the figures are bound to be different. Regardless, the figures are mind blowing.
Well one country didn't register a red bar

6.50 in California this morning. Crossed the border into Arizona and it was 4.90. Felt like I received a stimulus check.

VAT ( value added tax) on our fuel ⛽️ is 17%, so as the price increases with the Straits issue our Government is raking in more tax revenue, but do they lower fuel duty to offset their tax receipts income, do they f.ck. And to make matters worse I have just paid £1.30 per litre for heating oil, ( which also includes 5% VAT) it was £0.53 per litre when I filled up before Christmas. Our Government is loving this war they are raking it in, while the public has to pay for it.
