Can't find phone holder image

I am in a 6 hour Teams meeting, that is boring. So this is a good use of my time.
Some disclaimers
- I have the same Grenadier USA cupholder. But my Grenadier is at Red Nolan for service, so the dimensions may be off. I do think they are good. Give the template a try.

Template (1mm thick)

Final

Note - the loaner I am driving is stock, I had totally forgotten how small the cup holders are. Tiny...

If you could nail the dimensions once you get your truck back I would greatly appreciate it. We have a small 3D printer at school (build plate max is 5") but I could print in two halves and test it out.

Thank you.

I printed a draft fast print to check how it fits. The original design opening for button access is pretty big, when I put my phone (iPhone 16) in the holder, the phone falls into the hole and rests on the big knob. But the holder fits the Grenadier USA handles fine.

I made the center hole a bit smaller, and 5mm higher to avoid the knob. I think access to the buttons will be fine and the phone won't fall in. I will print this one tonight and see what I think.
Do you have any use for those holes for elastic in the original design? If not I will plug them.

After having a loaner this week with nowhere to put a phone, this would be a useful accessory. I'll put a bit more time into it.

Cheers

That looks great!!!

I don’t see a need for the string. In the full body one there’s a peg that the cord wraps around to hold the phone down. I don’t think that’s an issue.

A thought I had was to put a removable floor in that he phone w sit on to keep crap from falling down into the opening. Was thinking of just printing a plastic slab and covering it in grippy stuff.
