Air filter change

Responding to an earlier post by @LeeroyJ I just replaced mine and the same, was not attached to the filter but screwed into the housing. I left it in place and simply installed the new filter. I suspect down the road that can be removed and washed out since it is only for the large particulates.

Thanks, I just vacuumed it and left it in there too.

in reply to ORSO there is another intake muffler just before the air cleaner assembly. Since I was bored waiting for an oil catch can I went ahead and installed
it. Before and after pictures.
