Anyone know where to find a replacement cap that hides the screw on the spare tire cover?

    Australasia Spare Wheel Carrier

I was thinking that I only needed to carry metric sockets and Torx bits - I was wrong. The tyre carrier has 3 1/2"bolts!

    Locking spare tire cover alternatives

Hi, I like the idea of using the spare tire as an additional storage box with the locking spare tire cover. But it seems that the current Grenadier optional cover is plastic and would not be that secure. Is there an aftermarket locking cover that is more substantial. Especially if you were...

    Warning - spare wheel cover

Woke up to find one of the rear door windows smashed - probably due to a kookaburra or similar striking at a gecko (delights of country Australia!) First step in replacement was to remove the spare wheel from its bracket by taking off the cover.... The small bolt holding the cover in place was...

    Bicycle Carrier on spare wheel

Hi, did anyone mount a bike carrier on the spare wheel (or maybe on the ladder?)? Not for off-road use or long term travel, only for the 200 km/miles into the next mountains. Any comments? Adventures I think, I will try this one...

    Americas Making a spare key?

Anyone in the USA have a spare key made? Do you have to go thru the dealer and give them half your life savings? Or can we make a mechanical one at a lockshop to use in an emergency?

Any thoughts about mounting spare on roof to improve rear visibility?

I know many have had great success with the Wolf box, but Just wondering if it made any sense to mount the spare onto the roof so it no longer obstructs the rear view. Would that be difficult? I'm assuming we'd need some kind of bracket to secure it. Maybe it makes no sense because of how heavy...

    Removed spare tire

I decided to remove my spare tire so I could detail behind it and replace the rear wiper. Boy! That spare is heavy! I need to workout more! Took a white marker and put a witness mark inside for easier remounting. Ended up using a platform to help me lift the tire back into place afterwards.

Spare bolts - any idea what these are?

Found these under the tool kit beneath the passenger seat. Torx cap screws, short look like M5, long M6 coarse thread.

    Spare Wheel Mount Question

Does anyone have information on the maximum load capacity of the spare wheel mount? Reason: looking to add an additional 10 gals of fuel weight (~65lbs additional to the tire). Want to ensure I don’t create a separate issue. Thanks in advance.

Americas Reverse the Spare Tire Mount

I would really like to reverse the spare tire mounting where you can see the aluminum wheels like the Wrangler. Is there a way that I may be able to do this? Thank you.

    Spare Wheel Bag

I am in market for a decent spare wheel bag (at least 50 Lt) to use for extra storage and/or for rubbish. There are so many brands around, different materials, design, size & price. In Australia, cheaper, basic ones start around $80 and high quality, multi-pocket from $175 to $230. What brands...

    Spare parts travelling

I had heard it orally some months ago, but today I have proof. Although the Ineos Automotive warehouse in Europe is located in Belgium, the Belgians will get their spares later than the German or French for instance. Not only the Belgians, but also the Swiss, Dutch and Luxembourgers. In fact...

    Spare parts ordering, issues

Today I got a call from INEOS - which was a new experience again. The guy which called me is named Philip. First of all, he seemed to talk in a language I never heard before. And since I do not tell my name before an unknown caller introduces himself, I was for a moment on the edge to hang up...

    Spare battery compartment

I note that in my SW, the space where the auxiliary battery would go, does not contain a waterproof box that I am sure has been fitted to some vehicles. Could this box be part of the auxiliary battery set-up?

    Spare wheel lockable box

Thought it worth passing on my experience today in removing the spare wheel. First the storage box has to be removed, however trying to unscrew the three torque screws was extremely difficult! They were so tight that I broke two of my torque keys but eventually managed. I reflected that I would...

    Spare Fuse - Air Compressor/Dust Gun F113 40 Amp

Has anyone found where the outlet/connector/terminating wires for the F113 fuse is - be mighty handy. I see the fuse is in place so one would think there must be an outlet somewhere....? And then which switch if any powers this up?

    Lockable Spare Wheel Cover Gone?

Looks like the lockable spare wheel cover option has disappeared from the USA configurator. Anyone know what happened? This was one of the things I really thought was a cool feature.
