First off I want to give this forum a big thumbs up for the rapid response to my oil fill question which is an awesome testament to the folks here. We made a video of my experience with the first time oil change in the Grenadier and there were a couple of surprises. If anyone is interested in...
BACKGROUND
This post is in two parts. Part 1 lists possible third-party suppliers of oil filters for the INEOS Grenadier B57 Diesel Motor (the oil filter is also used on the B58).
Part 2 looks at some third-party oil filter available in Australia. It summarises some basic features with a view...

Above are links to the most common issues with the B58 that I found. Knowing is half the battle.
In the Kit is a magnetic oil sump plug, Billet Oil Filter Housing and a reusable stainless steel oil filter. Details here.
The OEM oil filter had had a reputation for failing, when used in BMW models. FYI: INEOS Part numbers for the diesel motor here.
Other kits just have just the stainless...
The owners manual sucks at having anything specific. Talks about when to change the oil but doesn’t tell you how. I know where the drain plug is and I can see the filter housing under the hood but what’s the filter that goes in the housing?
***If anyone see's something here I need to be corrected on please let me know! I'm no expert :) ****
I've been doing quite a bit of digging and questioning of the B58 guys in BMW forums. I really feel the powerplant's oil recommendations need to be region specific. I'm still going through...
Dear all, I’m proud owner of a petrol Trialmaster with 2500km on the odo. I do have a strange ticking sound from the engine at idle that I find disturbing. Went to the dealer who told me it could be a valve or a solenoid, but no worries it is all ok. Anyone having similar experience/noises...
Hi All
As I"m going to be changing my oil soon does the hive mind know the B58 Oil filter housing torque setting ? as I can't get any info out of INEOS.
Thanks in anticipation .
I wonder if anyone has looked into doing an LPG conversion of the Grenadier yet? Prins Autogas talks about B58 conversion unit but the website info seems to be outdated:

They do seem to have a working...
Will we get the B58 or the B58TU engine? You can easily distinguish between these two by taking a look at the exhaust manifold.
The B58 comes with classical exhaust manifold with 6 outlets, one per cylinder.
The B58TU has it’s exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head. Only two outlets...
Alright, I do all my own service on my vehicles, so I've been looking into the B58 as implemented on other vehicles. Since I've been a Toyota man since my first 1967 i-6 (aside from my BMW motorbike), BMW is quite the departure, not sure if that will be better or worse. On initial look, with the...
In my "total damage" thread, @Krabby brought a B58 teardown to my attention.
Although it's a bit frustrating to see such a masterpiece destroyed and taken apart, it's an interesting video. The cause of the damage is revealed at the end of the video and sounds plausible. It was not the engine.
I came across this article regarding a new version of the B58 petrol v6 version B58TU2
https://bimmerlife.com/2022/04/22/bmw-b58-inline-six-receives-technical-update/
This version of the B58 seems to have introduced several very beneficial updates, one in particular is the addition of a...
