Thread 'High Temperature Coolant Reservoir Failure'
Before tackling a long trip I checked my fluid levels and noticed that the coolant in the HT Coolant Reservoir looked low. The HT Coolant Reservoir is number 1 with the blue cap in the pic below from @Rok_Dr's excellent guide: With the engine running, I noticed green coolant dripping from multiple locations around the middle seam of the HT Coolant Reservoir - not good. Here's a screen grab from a video I took showing one drip location: My dealer is Regal Ineos in Roswell, GA, and...
Well, have to throw in my two cents. The steering definitely has a large dead zone. When the truck needs a minor steering correction due to wind or road crown, etc, the correction may require rotation through the dead zone before the minor correction can be made. As a result the wheel is moved more than it should have to be for small correction that otherwise might not annoy. It is better than some trucks I have owned, but also worse than others. It seems like it should be resolvable...
Sound system, any info ?????
Does anyone have a picture of the round trailer plug (not the NATO 2 Pin for power) that's right side of the hitch, when facing the rear of the car? It looks like a 7 pin round but can anyone confirm? My camper trailer plug is 12 pin flat with pin number 8 for break-safe charging. Would I have to get the Grenadier re-wired with a 12 pin plug, or would a 12 pin female flat to 7 pin round male adaptor work?
Hi all how much trim do you have to remove to get to charge the start battery have almost got the seat out but need another tool to remove completely the AUX battery is easy to get to but the starter is a bit of a pig. Also it won't seem to go above 75 % via alternator charging so going to whip a smart charger on it. I think some of the bings and bongs are due to low charge on start battery.
Hi All When the interior lights are set to on they all come on when any door is opened when set to off the rear load compartment and rear passenger lights come on when the rear doors are opened since when does OFF mean ON if I switch all lights to off they should all remain off and when set to on they should ALL come on why?? do yours do the same.
Does anyone know if IA will be recalibration the fuel gauge as part of the software update? My experience with both the petrol and the diesel is that the low fuel warning (60-70 miles left) comes on with about 30 litres still in the tank. The range 000 warning comes on with about 20 litres in the tank. The gauge itself reads pretty accurately, ie at 000 miles it still shows 3-4 bars. I find this annoying for a couple of reasons. Firstly the low fuel warnings obscure other data on the...
Thread 'Infotainment screen protector now available'
Hi all. I have been assisting ScreenShield Group in Australia to prototype a screen protector for the infotainment screen. The finished product is now available for sale. The protector is full size and sits just inside the screen frame. That's my screen below to demonstrate the fit. The protector does a great job of reducing glare and reflection. ScreenShield ship worldwide. I have no affiliation with them other than asking if they would develop a protector for the Grenadier. See here...
Thread 'e-call failure'
Today my car had the “e-call failure” the second time. The first time the failure showed up more than a month ago after the battery was down to 7 %. While all the other failures vanished after starting the car (no problem with that at all due to the second battery) the e-call failure stood with me for some weeks until the dealer erased it last week. Now it’s back. this is definitely not a major thing as nothing is effected by it (as long as I do not crash…) but it is annoying anyway as the...
Morning all (or ‘good evening’ if it’s later where you are), I did a water crossing yesterday and my toot horn has stopped working (it now only makes a very quiet, timid toot barely audible over the engine)… I had a poke around and I think it’s located behind the right headlight?? Does anyone know how to access it? Thanks in advance.
Thread 'Hands Free Phone Mic - quality / performance / position, is unacceptable.'
I believe many more owners have this problem than they actually realise. - (Please stick with this to the bottom of this post) In my case, I can hear who I am talking to on hands free phone perfectly clearly though the car system speakers, but the recipient struggles to hear me most of the time. I use my phone on hands free frequently and this issue is seriously spoiling my enjoyment of the vehicle. I received my car in October 2023 in the UK and this was a problem from day one. People who...
My ESC tends to brake in corners when I am only taking a corner slightly fast. Tonight I was entering the freeway via a cloverleaf and the ESC applied the brakes 3x in the turn. I was not going any faster than the traffic in front or behind me. My Ineos does have the Eibach lift, so I am wondering if that affected the ESC settings possibly?
In December, after my first service the “Service Warning” stayed on (remaining distance was correct, 20000 km)! They told me at the dealer it was a software bug and couldn't reset it on "some cars". Still wondering if this is really true, or if they made a mistake while following the Ineos procedure.! In the past months after that I succeeded 3 times “by accident” to disable my Service Warning (remaining kilometers). Some days ago, I found the “pattern” to disable it, and today I tested it...
Thread 'Inverter Retrofit To OEM 400 W .'
Ok Guys here it goes. Disclaimer: Try this at your won risk, you burn your car down, burn yourself down , get electrocuted your fault . SO, this how I think it should be done. Might be wrong might be right who knows. Now this whole thing started when I placed my pre order in with the understanding that the car will come with an inverter. I was disappointed when they took it out at the last minute. Thanks to legends of the biggest order (Yes Jean I am talking about you ) who disassembled...
Thread 'Overhead switch panel: moving switches'
Had anyone tried moving the overhead switches around? Ext3 - left rear aux power outlet on the roof - rear-facing scene/reverse and left scene lights. Ext2 - right scene light. Ext1 - 10A in engine bay - KC Hilites Flex Era 4 backlights Ext5 - 25A in engine bay - KCHFE4 main lights. I want Ext2 and 3 to switch places. Same with Ext1 and 4. Is it as simple as opening the panel and changing the positions of the switches or their wires?
Thread 'Using the NATO socket to power equipment - This is how it works.'
Just a quick post to help anyone that comes searching. This is how the NATO socket works. There are a lot of musing and threads about how to hack the hoops needed, but I found it easy for my purpose. To attached an external ARB compressor. 1. Engine running. 2. Flip the 500 amp switch in the roof to on. 3. Apply the parking brake unless you like rolling vehicles. 4. Put the transmission in neutral. The last step is the on/off for the socket. The reason? It's meant for a winch and Ineos...
Does anyone has experience with these PV panels? Lensun Solar I don't like flex panels that much because they just aren't that robust and can develop microcracks (thermal expansion). Would like to know of anyone here has such ones, it seems like a good idea to cover the otherwise unused real estate of the bonnet.
Since I installed ADS/Alpine systems in my personal cars in the 1980's when I was a kid, I've always had great audio systems in my cars..until now. The upgraded system in the Ineos just didn't cut it and the soundstage down at my feet was really muffled, even after messing with the eq and sub settings. So I took a chance and ordered the "plug and play" Audison DSP based system from Bjorn at Audio upgrade Ineos and it is absolutely amazing. The Audison tweeters high up in the A pillars...
Thread 'No screen and multiple alarms - Final update - 18NOV24'
My screen has gone blank, multiple lights and alarms sounding. 2024 trialmaster with aux battery system; 4670 miles; 4 hours from dealer; no software update; no problems with grenadier until this. Four days ago we had a light rain. That afternoon I got into the car and noticed some wetness in the overhead liner (Picture 1 - damp overhead liner). I also saw some drips from the overhead (Picture 2- water droplets). I dried the area and inspected the roof and saw no issues. Yesterday, I...
Hi load auxiliary ports have no power. Is there a fuse that could be blown? I tested all the outside auxiliary ports with multimeter. The ground is good but there is no power. I flipped all the interior switches on the power switch etc, any ideas?
