anyone else find that their wipers are completely lifting off the glass as it changes directions. Mine and more specifically my passenger side wiper lifts clear off the glass at the end of the stroke about 3/8" or so. It completely misses a section because of it. Very bizarre.

Many of us have found the stock blades to be "wanting" and duly replaced them with something better.

Fair enough, but my wipers are fully lifting off the windscreen. They literally stop touching the glass as they approach the return cycle and remain off the glass until they start returning and get back to the same point. The wipers are literally off the glass for 6" or so.

I would deduce either the blades are rogered or the arms are bent/maladjusted.
I'd take the blades off and see if they appear faulty.
At the end of the day you'll need/want to replace them anyway. Unless Ineos has improved their supplier since the early models.

It's certainly not the blades, they are good enough. They completely lift off the glass not making contact anymore. It's like the wiper arms run out of range. It's 100% a warranty issue. Just wondering if it's a common problem at all. I could easily bend the arms a touch, but that's not the point.

Have not had this issue but I bought some cheap arse 16"/400mm Michelin "Guardian Beam" wiper blades from Costco with low expectations and have been very happy with them, might be worth a try to see if it is just crusty blades. Also treated the windscreen with not cheap arse Chemical Guys Hydroslick, very slick indeed.

Thank you for understanding my issue. Once the wipers leave the glass it no longer can be the wipers themselves.

It's weird, but it does seem like the rotation axis of the wiper arms is off.
Are any of the mounting bolts missing from the assembly or have come lose making the axles misaligned ?????? hold one and try to move it but they could be bent from shipping damage have seen worse hope this helps.

Is this just at speed, or at all times?

Arghh that they do!
I switched my gren to Bosch blades. Same benefit as wiper tech. Have had good results with both brands with multiple vehicles. Except for highly curved windscreen on my wife’s mini countryman - that needs OEM wipers - all the third party brands we tried lift at highest curved windscreen sections including wiper tech . Obviously not an issue for the grenadier which has zero curve on the slab!

Almost sounds like the Motor mount is lose, and the assembly is shifting. Try to “stop” it at the top and see if it moves.

Losing contact with the windscreen is not common with the Grenadier. The quality of the blades being below expectations is normal. I've recently replaced my blades as the first few wipes with some fluid to remove some dust proved to be a sub-optimal experience, as the kids say.

@Dokatd sounds like a warranty issue to me.

I believe what those suggesting try replacing the blades first are getting at is when you report the issue as a warranty problem the service advisor will listen intently and nod his head in the appropriate places, makes some notes, then the techs out the back will just change the wipers, charging you $100 for $20 worth of blades, and tell you they fixed the problem.

Alternatively you could try swapping the wiper arms over (left to right and right to left) to see if the issue follows the arm. The arms appear to be identical and fairly easy to remove and reinstall. If you are saying the passenger arm is lifting on the vertical return point that’s a bit weird as the screen is not actually flat but gently curved and the pressure on the arm should be greatest at this point.
