What Rocksliders / Side Steps did you choose

Do you mean the buzz only use 3mm Steele in construction? Seems thin
Comparing 316 stainless to carbon steel is like comparing apples to oranges, especially when it comes to strength.

We could have gone for 1/4” mild steel and had a far simpler product to make. But we chose to make the best product we could using a superior material that is significantly stronger than mild steel, impervious to corrosion and half the weight of what 1/4” mild steel version would be.

I just got my set of Buzz slider steps in from OK4WD and I couldn’t be happier. They are super solid and well-made. Living in Michigan USA we got some pretty bad winters and we salt the road. At least I don’t have to worry about the salty slushy destroying them over time. It also gives me peace of mind, knowing that if they do take a beating on a trail, a fresh powder coat will bring them back to new. Pro tip…. I think the sliders go perfectly with the Buzz hinge step on the rear door. 😉

These sliders from Abenteuer 4x4 look sturdy and well-built, and they sit high up on the vehicle, providing maximum clearance for the sills.
My first choice at the moment!

I have them fitted. They are really good, expensive but really good.

I had to make my install tougher for use in Australia, counties like Africa may have the same issues because of the harsh offroad conditions.

My fix is discussed here (and they worked):

I’ll echo these comments. I also have them fitted and the build quality is excellent. Absolutely no regrets at this point in time.

I'm also happy with mine. My initial impressions and installation is available in this post. I've dropped the truck onto them hard several times and they're holding up great. At some point when I get around to it I'm going to change out the washers on the vulnerable boltheads to tapered bolthead protectors that I have laying around as they have taken a couple hits. It is possible tap your rocker panels on a rock if it's pointy enough to get into the gap between the frame rail and the slider. I do have a ding on one of mine, but frankly I couldn't care less and if I did I could easily straighten it with some pliers.

For those in the US with the Abenteuer rock sliders did you source them direct or from another vendor?

Yep. I ordered mine from Jack Wagon Overlanding. I didn’t have any issues with the order or shipping process.

I am deciding between Abenteuer and Agile. I like how they are both very high and tight to the body after removing the plastic trim, but I am reluctant to drill a bunch of holes as required for the Agile install. However, the Agile sliders in aluminum are very light and I don't need the strongest possible construction for my intended use. Will probably start with Abenteuer and if unsatisfied can always switch to Agile.
