Do you mean the buzz only use 3mm Steele in construction? Seems thin

Comparing 316 stainless to carbon steel is like comparing apples to oranges, especially when it comes to strength.

We could have gone for 1/4” mild steel and had a far simpler product to make. But we chose to make the best product we could using a superior material that is significantly stronger than mild steel, impervious to corrosion and half the weight of what 1/4” mild steel version would be.

I just got my set of Buzz slider steps in from OK4WD and I couldn’t be happier. They are super solid and well-made. Living in Michigan USA we got some pretty bad winters and we salt the road. At least I don’t have to worry about the salty slushy destroying them over time. It also gives me peace of mind, knowing that if they do take a beating on a trail, a fresh powder coat will bring them back to new. Pro tip…. I think the sliders go perfectly with the Buzz hinge step on the rear door.
