Well I tried

Small claims in Canada no lawyers. That’s the problem I’d be going up against corporate representatives that are lawyers I would have to self represent.
Hey stupid question - did you have your dealers wrap the AC lines? I just noticed some footwell leaking a few days ago so dropped it off at my dealer on my way out of town - they said they would wrap everything with insulation tape - just condensation buildup in warm humid weather. No sure what your situation is - whether this was also happening in cool/cold weather.

Hey,

Yes they wrapped them the last time. This is something else. There is zero condensate coming out under the truck, all of it is inside. They’ve had the heater core out 3 times, replaced it once. There is just no end to it. Per the dealership they did everything Ineos advised them to do and yet it continues to just fill the floors with water under the rugs.

That’s insane - I think Ineos owes you a new one. Especially given the distance to the dealer from PEI

I have been trying to get that from almost the very beginning. I had even offered at first to add in some cash. The problems started in the first week and by August 2024 the water and problems took up two pages of work orders. They kept it for 6 months, returned it only for it to now have coolant and A/C condensation leaking inside the cab. It went back to the dealership for another 2+ months. I got it back late April 2025, by mid May 2” of water on the floor flooding out the doors. The entire interior flooring was soaked like water logged heavy soaked and water was sloshing. I pulled the floor drains to let the water out but with rugs in place the water mostly stayed inside. I again returned the truck in July 2025 they had it until September 12/2025 to their credit they drive it to Montreal saving me about 7 hours drive. That was cool, before taking delivery I lift one of the rubber floor mats, to my surprise the floor is yet again soaked and the mat is water logged. So in 16 months of ownership having taken delivery in mid May 2024 the vehicle has spent 11 ish months at the dealership. A brand new truck and it’s been in my laneway on and off for only 5 months.
You would think it would have been easier for all parties involved and in the name of customer service as a new brand that Ineos would step in. But no, they just kept telling me to leave it with the dealership and they (Ineos) would work with the dealership to repair it. They have failed to do so in the 11 months the vehicle has been with the dealership.

Friday the 12th was the last straw. I requested a call from the general manager first thing Monday morning Sept 15. At 16:30 Sunday afternoon I get an email from the service department stating there will be no contact from the general manager and that they need time. They will get back to me later this week.

So not only did they not fix it, now they need more time to figure out what to do.
The service manager admits after test driving it “multiple times” no one thought to lift the rugs and check for water before arranging pick up of the “repaired” vehicle.
I was assured about 15 different ways the truck was now “perfect” 100% they fixed it, absolutely “like new” they detailed it and dried it out and did all the fixing that Ineos advised and that the next time I would need to see them would be for my next service or if a new warranty issue occurred.
So after two months in their possession no one took the time to actually drive around with the floor rugs out of the vehicle and make sure there was no A/C condensation coming from the evaporator. And they clearly knew that as PEI has been in a drought and not had much rain. The vehicle sits in my garage as well. Even with no rain the vehicle would fill with water. There’s only one thing in the vehicle that can make water. But no one bothered to make sure that it wasn’t leaking before buttoning it up and putting it back together. A total shit show if you ask me.

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 15
I have been given options
Take delivery of the first 2026 they receive.
An eldoret blue Fieldmaster, with 18” wheels, hitch, premium audio, safari windows.

Order a new 2026 and wait. Keep the loaner I have.

My build Base, add hitch, ladder, premium audio, leather, high load switches, rough pack, privacy glass, interior utility rails,

Option one comes sooner, option B later.
Not sure where to go with this one. Waiting on delivery “eta” for my build

With your luck, do not go for safari windows, they might leak;)
I park facing uphill 9⁰ and it is impossible to stop the safari windows from leaking. I have to block my garage door to get the vehicle a bit flatter. Water enters between the glass and.the seal.
They have been tightened so they clamp firmly, the original seals have been changed numerous times but it is something that does not have a fix.

Are you happy with that outcome as it appears you finally have a result? (emphasis on the finally)

As the next one available is lower spec, I would wait for the build that meets your selection. Yes, you have to wait longer, but if you took the lower spec, you would always be disappointed that you didn't get what you wanted.

That is the right thing for them to do - garbage that it took so long. I would (personally) wait for the build you want. Also, although I love the idea of safari windows, any sunroof from any manufacturer has the potential for leaks (plus I had to deal with skin cancer from too much fun surfing as a kid in California).

So was this the dealer’s remediation or IA decided to appease ?

Honestly, if you're willing to give the Gren another shot, I'd say order your spec, especially if the dealer will let you keep running the loaner. That way you will get your truck. Plus, you can maybe rethink your old build and modify to get exactly what you want (I'd skip the "premium" audio and get a much better setup than what they charge for)!

One point to raise though, looking beyond your truck's particular issues, can you look past the idiosyncrasies that "work as designed." (ie power steering whine, ADAS, auto stop-start, etc),

That's fantastic that the dealer is willing to give you a loaner until a replacement arrives... In chatting with a number of Canadian owners of different vehicles, the consumer protections are vastly lower in Canada than the US for the automotive realm.

Reference: 2022 and 2023 Tundras that are part of the engine recall are grouped into phases; thus if you had a Tundra that was part of the latter phases of the recall (due to have the engine replaced late this year or early next year, as they are running behind), and your engine failed in late 2024, you will not get an engine assigned to you until your phase. So you're looking at 12-16 months without your vehicle. In Canada Toyota's loaner requirement is 5 days. So that's 12-16 months of vehicle payments and insurance with no vehicle to use. In the US, they are required to give you a loaner/rental vehicle for the duration of time (thus that same owner would be in a loaner for 12+ months).

You and @Krabby keep this up and they’ll want to become part of the US ;o). Seriously - that blows. And @IslandFalconer, given the distance to your dealer, nobody would blame you for walking away. Would be cool to keep you in the club, though.

Observation on US vs Canada Grenadier rubber-necking. In the US, I get a lot of thumbs ups or people taking pictures. Drive from Madison to Montreal and back a couple weeks ago - a lot of furtive “I’m dying to gawk but that would be rude” side-eye. Only trouble I had during the trip was coming back (with 7 years of crap from my daughter’s apartment). US border control in Sarnia says “where are you headed” and I said “Madison, Wisconsin - go Badgers.” He said “sir, you are either very brave or very foolish - I will remind you that you are now in MICHIGAN.”

This I can’t answer, the offer was made and I don’t know who authorized what
Get it in writing before THAT manager gets the axe too!
It’s in writing and the order is with the person who’s responsible for new vehicle orders
