So more fun with the grenadier 🥴
It rained here yesterday, 18 hours is of steady but not hard rain. Driving to work I hear water in the cabin, ok fun fun.
I’m at home now and well yep there’s water, it’s contained to the front passenger footwell. Pulled the rugs the plugs, drained the water. Heater in cabin to dry it out. Rubber floors are soaked weight 10lb so I’m drying them out with a heater in a small bathroom. Checked door and window no leak, checked for any reason for water, cabin filter is dry. But then decided to open hood and pop off cabin filter inlet for a look and I see this situation. Inlet door is half open and I can see clear into the truck, or if it’s in recirculate same deal. Now there’s a big funnel lip around the air intake so if water got in it would have been while driving? Or so much water it flooded over and in?

Came in search of a solution to the same problem - Give me something to look for in the morning. Also found a flooded passenger footwell after some horrendous wind and rain.

During our last rain, i had flooded front driver and passenger footwells. I do not believe it came in through the door seals. The tops of the floormats were perfectly dry. Underneath the floormat, there was about 1/2" of standing water. I pulled the drain plugs in the footwell and the water ran into the frame rails. Underneath the truck, I had to pull a few plugs in the bottom side of the frame rails to drain the water out from the frame. I'm really not sure where the water is coming in from. Maybe the front corner of the rain gutters? Maybe leaking in from the roof power ports? Maybe from the near the air intake?
