I'm looking at an INEOS without towing receiver. I know that the receiver can be added aftermarket. I will be pulling a ski boat. i am hearing that a full INEOS optioned towing package is the only way to go and it is not recommended to just add a receiver and tow a boat. any thoughts or experience out there. boat is a 21 foot sea ray. thx in advance, Barry

The "ideal" way is to have the dealer install the hitch and OEM wiring, although this will set you back between $3k-4500. The OEM towing control module interfaces with the rest of the vehicle and turns off rear parking sensors as well as changes ABS/ESP profiles when a trailer is detected.

Off Road Gear Guys has a solution for both the hitch and wiring, although it doesn't do the OEM integration, this would be your next best bet.

See if you can negotiate to get the dealer to throw in the towing package upgrade - instead of credits for other accessories that you will probably replace anyhow.

I'm looking at several low mileage 2024's. I don't mind adding what is needed as long as it will keep the vehicle safe when towing a boat. Availability could be ab issue on the components. I heard that the INEOS package includes a trailer sway module and stronger rear springs. I truly appreciate the input. I was headed to the dealership today to most likely make the purchase. However, this vehicle needs to be able to safely pull my boat.

Rear springs are not part of the OEM tow option... My vehicle had the OEM tow package and still had the lightest rated rear springs
